dont understand why when I play modded skin isnt used. game seems to be using generic skins rather than the modded ones. any reason this might be the case? Have this with using leo 2 5 and the m1 and m2 so far as ive looked. never see national insignia either.
Cant use the mission editor to test any of this as I get a ctd every time I try :(

I've once noticed that a skin was not recognized that I've put in the mod folder for woodland texture while the battle had an autumn setting.
Else it works fine for me.

First of all, have you put them in right folders?
chek this:
1. Right folder (the MOD/TEXTURES folder in Esimgames in your "my document")
2. Chek that the skins name are correct, many skinners rename them to be able to have several skins in on pack. so they might be M1A1_Woodland, M1A1_winter and so on. If they are, rename them to the original name, the original name you find in SB main folders texture folder.
3. as Jaguar points out, have you put them in the right folder for the right theme? if you put a skin in Woodland folder it wont show in a autumn/winter/dessert theme (scenario)
4. if its a skin you have done, have you saved it in right format? (Bmp. not Jpg or anything else)
thats all I can come up with... good luck

I had the same problem, seams like it has to do with the themes. For some reason the mod skins dont show up in some modified themes, or when using some of the original suplied themes.
Might this haveto do with diffrent seasons?
cuse mine dont show up when using say, autumn themes.

Anzac, you arent supposed to see the woodland skin in the autumn theme. you need to put the skin in ewery folder that you want to see it in.

that seems to have fixed it. files having wrong names was the thing.
So one can only have one skin per vehicle type. is that right?

yeah thats right, but you can use JSGME mod enabler to switch between them, or save them with something after and just rename them. like
Leo2A5DK.bmp (this one will show up ingame)
Leo2A5DK1.bmp
Leo2A5DK2.bmp
leo2A5DK3.bmp
then just change the name of the skin you want to use.
theres many ways to alter between the skins, this is just 2.

Oh and dont forget the "Red" folder you have in each folder (woodland, autumn, winter and so on) that enables you to have 2 skins per vehicles, one skin for red side and one skin for blue side, so if you have same tank on both sides they have different skins.

Ah, so that is what the "Red" folder is for. Good to know- thanks for mentioning that Kingtiger.
BTW, hey all!
I've had SBPRO:PE for about 10 days and I flippin' love it. Much better than I had even hoped it would be. I haven't felt this way about a sim since the original Combat Flight Simulator. Very cool to find that there is such a great community to go with such a great sim. :cvcsalute:
