New sound file for testing

This is a sample for a new coax sound fx that I've been working on - but its not yet the final version. I could pretty much use some feedback on this one - wheter it needs more bass or volume etc.

just extract this file and place "mgloop.wav" into the following folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\YOURDOCS\Dokumentumok\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\mods\sounds\FX

The coax (MG3 and M240) ROF is a lot higher, maybe try to simulate that? Otherwise the sound is good, with lot of bottom (a bit like firing the PKM at low gas setting). But only problem is (if going for perfectionism) that the tank coax doesn't sound this cool outside the tank (from commander's spot or near the tank) - it sounds very lame (a bit like woodpecker?? or the original sound from gunner's spot but lot faster) actually. Inside the tank at the loader's place the sound is more like yours, but faster.

Here's a MG3 sound file recorded inside Leo 2 from loader's place. Hope it helps...

Leo 2 shooting 120mm and then MG 3, recorded outside the tank (less than 50 m) The thump of the maingun is nice, but the MG simply doesn't sound that manly ;)

Great samples Zipuli - thanx! Too bad that the engine is running during the interior sample - umm could you get me a sample from the interior with engines turned off?

Yeah I know that the actual ROF of the coax is a bit higher - but my sound editing program adds a weird background noise to the sample when I try to speed it up : (

Sorry, no can do... I don't have a Leo to fool with right now ;). Those were recorded last winter. But that interior sound should give the idea - maybe you can imitate that kind of sound with some editing?

Yeah well I could try to immitate it - I've made the original file (the first in this thread) with the help of a few coins, a plastic box & my desk..... and of a lot of editing ofcourse - I'm gonna try out a differnet sound editing program to speed it up about 20-30%

But when i add the to the mod fx sounds . It works also for the abrams right?? I love daskals m1 sound but i want the leo one for the leo

The Leopard and the Abrams use the same coax sounds - so yes it will work for both of them.

Yeah i realize this , But i want an mg3 sound for the leopars and a m240 sound for the m1
