How do I open the SB PRO sound files, and is there any where I can still find those ambient sound packs to down load? Thanks!

I will upload the Ambient sound-file-pack again (the link does only work for a couple of days though) but I will upload it to the dowloads section as well.

As for the sound files... each of the sound FX files is compressed into the sounds.mrf file (just like in SB1). I've got a pretty powerfull program that can open & extract audo + video files from almost anything. It worked very well with SB1 and I managed to open & extract all of the sounds. Unfortunately it doesnt seem to work with Pro PE it can open & scan the "sounds.mrf" file, but it doesnt find anything. Aaaargh!!!!

If you wish to replace some of the sounds, just make a new .wav and put it into C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\mods\sounds\

The replacable sounds are written in the C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\mods\sounds\FX.txt

If you wish to change the voices put them in the C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\mods\sounds\voices\"your language"

The original files (the replacable) are in C:\Program\eSim Games\SB Pro PE\loc\"your language"

Just take a look at the original files and you can find out the settings for recording.

Good!
We worked hard for the sounds. We'd like to keep them ours. Please excuse the inconvenience.

That paints a not so rosy picture for those guys from Germany who claim to be 3/4 complete building working 3d models of half the armored vehicals from the last 30 years or so. Assuming of course, those files are packed the same way.
