50.Cal sounds taken from real footage.

Just place them into your \My Documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\mods\sounds\FX folder.

Ooops - there has been a little mix up - and it looks like I've accidentaly uploaded a low version of the sound files before. :oops:
The file has been updated to the correct version, feel free to download it from here. :wink:

Btw .mov is a Quicktime format, and Quicktime player can be downloaded for free (well at least the basic version, but this will do it)

Okay... was able to DL it from this thread... this is really weird but I put it into the sound effects MOD folder and it did not take! Is this due to what you described as it being not the correct version?

I tried to DL it from the DL site here and I got an unexpected archive end error. Problems?

The file is great!!! I can't wait to use it in the game! Help me do it!

I found the problem. The sound works for Humvees and OTHER Abrams out there as they fire... but not yours.

What we need to do is change the name of the file so that it is ONLY for the interior of the Abrams. Anyone know that file name??? It's right out of the real thing!

Ok... you unzipped it into your sound mods folder and your Abrams tanks can use the sound when you as the TC fires the .50 cal????????????

No I didn't modify the the "interor" sound for the 50Cal - because thats exactly how it should be. This one replaces the exterior sounds. The best way to test them is to jump into a hummwee and man the 50Cal - you'll notice the difference right away!!

gotcha. already did. I saw that movie of 3 Star's and thought it was recorded internally. Great job then! Love it!
