Hello everybody

Well i was wondering about the main menu of SB Pro... So as far as I know, the background is simply a picture. I'd like to know how difficult it would be to switch from the pciture to something more...exotic?
By that, I mean the menu's background being a animated view of the game itself. For exemple, in half life 2, we have different view of the city and soldiers patrolling. In C&C generals, there is a looping video of a battle. In warcraft 3, we have a view of the battlefield...

So i think that would be interesting to implement that kind of menu in SB Pro... and in the future products. I know this is not a primary feature but i think that would better represent the game's possibilities.

For exemple, in the main menu, we would see a side view of a tank scanning the area while we would hear some random distant shot.
In the tank range menu, when we select the M1A1, we would see the CMD view of an Abrams, and the same if we select the leo....

Since i dont have SB Pro for now, i am absolutly not sure what the menu looks like. So if its already the case, please forgive me for that mail... otherwise, feel free to comment.

Hey Black Death. Here are 2 I made awhile back for Pro PE. The stock splash screen is basically a brushed metal texture...no photos or anything. I know the video you're talking about in CNC Generals and ZH which I don't care for all that much because it taxes my system resources, but doesn't really do anything else....

These are .DDs files BTW.

im talking about a mod....
since i have a 2ghz dual core and a 520Mb nvidia-dont-remember-what, I dont care about the resources in fact :)
all i need now is money to buy the game.

And im only propose something to improve the game presentation which is, i think, a little...old even if its for a professional purpose.
and warcraft 3 seems to have a low resource background.

Keep in mind It's only a proposition to improve game menu rendering :)...

here is a pic of the HL2 menu:
