sorry if i seem like a computer moron but...
-whats the deal with the mouse? When I am out at gunnery just learning this thing I find that it is rather difficult to use the mouse in putting the gun where I want it to go.
-Is there some sort of add on for the M1A2, the Bradley and 113? I know I should be concentrating on being able to shoot at stuff but I like to tinker.
I'll probably have more questions for you later.

 I've heard that many go into their mouse program and slow the motionof the mouse down and it works quite well. You could also look into a "gaming mouse", like what I have, by Logitech, which has 2 buttons to either slow the mouse down or speed it up, and is just a clk away at will.
Personally, I use a joystick for sB
Good luck

first of all, what version do you have??? Steel beasts 1 doesnt have anything playable except for leo2a4 and m1a1. SB ProPE has many many other vehicles (more than ive played with)...
As to your gunnery problem, i personally use a combination of a microsoft intellimouse trackball and a siatek control pad for gunnery, but its likely not you being used to the controls.....they dont react like you would think (but are realistic in that they react that way in real life.....)
next are you having problems laying on the target? or is it hitting the target? You have to know the proper procedures for the vehicle and fire control mode you are in to be able to successfully hit the target...
Normal mode for leo2a4/5 is the easiest--lay on target with a g pattern--go above the target, around the target, down below the target, up to the center of mass location, then sideways till you match the center of the targets length, then match the speed of any motion. At that point you should lase with the (default) right mouse button. If the target is moving you will then press the P button (on the leo 2 that is the autolay function, which tells the balistics computer to read the lateral motion of the turret and use that and the range to determine the appropriate lead. the lead is then applied to the gun (and the sight, so you will not see any change in the sight picture). Then fire with the fire button.....
on the m1a1 its a bit more difficult.....the laying procedure is the same but you must 'lase and blaze' meaning just after lasing, after the reticule moves (in the m1 the sight is not stabilized in the horizontal axis so you get the motion), you should fire without pressing the "P" button as lead is continually being calculated off the motion of the turret automatically after the laser is fired......if you miss (and even if you dont) you should 'dump lead' buy pressing the p button (in the m1 it simulates the release of the palm switches of the turret 'cadillacs' (controls) then release the p button and begin the process again.....
it takes some practice but youll get it
That said, it can sometimes be frustrating.......

A frequent source for misunderstanding seems to be the fact that there are two "modes" in which the mouse can be used - either to control the view, or to click on icons or access the menu bar. To switch between the two modes, do a (left) click.
Once that you are in view/gun control mode, try to use the mouse with slow movement until you get the hang of it. Mouse sensitivity may be an issue, but that depends a lot on mouse driver settings, mouse model, individual preferences/habits, so your mileage may vary.

Im gonna dig out my Joy stick and see if that works. I have SB ProPE and all I get at gunnery is the M1a1 and the other versions of the Leo. Is that it for gunnery or is the rest in MP?

If you're talking about the gunnery range - you're right, it's just the MBTs that are available here. However, single and multiplayer scenarios alike will have Bradleys and ASLAVs as playable vehicles, and you can easily create your won gunnery range for the Bradley.
Last but not least: The tutorials.

Oh, and please adjust the size of your avatar image to the 100x100 pixel limit - 157 x 192 is a tad large and tends to disrupt the forum layout.

Invest the time in mouse gunnery. There's so much else to do other than gunning that having a stick becomes a real burden. And even when gunning you have to deal with slop, miles of travel, and a general lack of precision.

I don't know about that. I run with a Thrustmaster Cougar and have no problems.
