Would be cool if anybody could create some Skins of the T72,the BTR,MTLB and the BMP1, looking like the original one of the East German Forces (NVA).
Or does they exist already ?

Not done yet, you happen to have any photos etc.? I had the impression they (NVA) used green colour for their vehicles without any camo. Just like the default skins. Maybe going to do some Russian / East German skins later...

Yep, they had the Green Canp like the default Skins in SB did, with the National Sign on the Turret !

Send some photos to either Zip or me and be nice to us and maybe will add detail and markings and post in the downloads section. Photos should have as much detail as possible.

[NVA vehicles (certainly Polish and Czech built ones anyway) had a slightly darker green that Sov vehicles. They also had a 4 digit number, though since numbers are not yet implimented in SBpro it may be wise to skip painting them on in case someday they do.
Anyway, there WAS a different paint scheme they introduced in 1989. I seem to recall that it was used by 9th Panzer Division (Heinz Hoffman). It was reminicent of the farewell colours of the Russian T80s, having a blue grey and green mix. Looked very interesting, though I dont think much more than a regiment could have been repainted before the wall fell. Got an illustration of it in the Osprey T72 book if anyone wants me to look it out. Reasonably sure no BMPs ever appeared in the scheme.

Today i saw again some of the NVA Tanks at the Tank Museum in Munster, Germany (just 20 Kilometers away of my home, so that was no problem). The Green was a little bit darker than the Green of the Russian, that's right. But i think the default Green in SteeBeasts would be perfect for such Skins.

Yes, I think you are right. The green they have in Steel Beasts looks closer imho to the 'pact' green than Soviet green. A photograph I have in a book on the NVA (admittedly, crap DDR film) seems to indicate the BMP's must have been Soviet manufacture, cos its a different green.
Ill look the picture out tomorrow if thats ok. Its actually a colour illustration rather than a photograph, but it illustrates the scheme fairly well I think. I seem to recall in Zalogas 'Tankwar central front' there is also an illustration of another NVA scheme, green and very light tan.. That may have been applied mud however.

Looks pretty good. Thought the DDR symbol was a bit large, but compared to the following looks ok.

Thats a very nice looking BMP2. If Im to be critical, I suspect the BMP2's the NVA got were probably Soviet built (dont think the pact built them before the wall came down) so it would probably have a Soviet green. There is an excellent book (you may already have it because that BMP2 has the same registration number) called 'Die Landstreitkrafte der NVA' by Wilfried Kopenhagen. (I dont speak a work of German, but the illustrations and OOB are more than good enough to justify it to myself!). Anyway, the photograph of that machine in that book has a notably lighter tinge shared by at least some NVA BRDM3.Thats the only criticism I can make (and possibly some were repainted). Certainly its the right colour for T72M1, BMP1 and BTR80 (as a stand in for the BTR70). Badge and numbers look great.
There is an East German guy on tanknet called Stefan who I might have to ask about this colour thing, as a modelmaker it really bugs me. Keep up the good work anyway, always good to keep on standby for those cold war scenarios. :)
