I'm made a new promo vid showing the new Sky Mod in action. It also features some lenght 'drive-by' shots for Cobrabase. :)
Last but not least, it also has some nice sound tracks (imho anyway).

Now that I've noticed them, all I can see are the inkblot faces in the sky. ;)
On a serious note, I was working on finding the proper size for the sun last night. My first few attempts, like the ones in your video, always seemed much too large. Here's what I've got it down to so far.

Nice. I like the music! :)
That M1TP2 video at that site by Wolfbiscuits gave me flash backs.

The music was better than in most videos. I noticed also that Jaguar still hasn't patched up SB to 2.273. All the gun tubes were still oriented to the right side in those road marches.

Great looking skies, and good music too. John Wayne would have been proud! :D

Nice work Jaguar! I like that the music gives it that classic feel, like old propaganda movies.

Good piece. Would you mind if I link it at tanksim.com, too? I love the music, btw. :D

Thanks guys! :D Glad you like it.
Sure Skybird, just go ahead.
MM, yeah I too noticed that it's indeed tricky to get the sun to the right size. Sometimes it's too large, other times too small.
Hey Cobrabase, yes, old movies rule!

One question, maybe already asked: how to implement sky textures? I downloaded the files, placed the bitmaps and the skydome accordingly, as described in the readme, but cannot manage to bring them up in missions, not in new "designs", not in already saved ones.

You must replace the original SKY_d1 file in the program\esim.....\texture\sky folder. Placing it in mod-folder won't work.

Jaesen Jones' Generic Mod Enabler (available in the SB Pro Utility Downloads Section) is an easy way to manage your sky library. Place the exe file in eSim\SB Pro PE and run it once to initialize it. This will place a MODS folder inside the SB Pro PE directory. Now create within the MODS folder a folder for each of your various skys, or families of skys. Use descriptive names to make it easy to identify them. Within those folders create directory folders called textures\sky, and put the replacement files there. For example:
c:\Program Files\eSim\SB Pro PE\MODS\New Dawn\textures\sky\sky_d1.bmp
Now you can run the Mod Enabler, and it will present you with a list of Sky Mods to choose from. Activate the one you would like, and it will replace the original sky files for you. Deactivate, and your original skys are returned.
