Alright, maybe someone can help me with this. I've had SB 1 for a couple years now, and I just got SB Pro yesterday. Now I remember reading somewhere that you can take the scenarios from SB1 and put them in SB Pro, and I'm pretty sure it was one here. I've been looking all around the forum though and I can't figure out where I saw it. If anyone can direct me to directions on how to do that, it would be greatly appriecated:D

For the most part all you have to do is copy and paste the scenario from SB1 into SB Pro PE and your done. Of course you will probably want to update the map and all kinds of stuff in the scenario though.

The scenario goes into your ...\My Documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\My Scenarios\... and then where ever you want them within that. I have created multiple folders within that subdirectory to catigorize the scenarios by "Construction" "Released" etc.

Now there is something to do with the old maps. Someone else might have to fill you in on the specifics of that but I think if you used an hmap that was not in SB1 then you have to click on "Embed height map" under "Map" in the scenario editor. I think the file size will be much bigger for the scenario if you do that though. But if you used an hmap from SB1 then all you should have to do is click on "Link to height map". Of course, if I am incorrect on that, than please, someone correct me.

Just a note, older maps from SB & SB Gold use the *.raw format. The extentions on these files can be renamed directly to *.ter and the maps will work fine, but you'll still have to open them in the editor to bridge any roads & remove any ditches. Then all you have to do is open the *.sce in the map editor & update the map. I'm currently updating the old Ft. Apache mission:

Alright, thats exactly what i needed. I knew there was something about the ditches and bridges, but i wasn't sure. Thanks!

Hi - theres a sticky in the sce design forum that has a tutorial on this, might want to have a look at it.

Hi all,

I'm having a real problem (or just a good 'ol attack of the stupids) with 'Operation Sieve' from SB1. If I just copy the .sce over, it says it can't find the 'FtPolk.raw' map. If I copy ftpolk.raw over to SP Pro PE, and rename the file to a .ter (as mentioned above), put it in the terrain folder of SB Pro PE and then try and edit it, the PE map editor gives an error and returns to the main menu.

So what should I be doing, step by step (as if I am an idiot, which might be the case here!)

P.S. I've read the sticky and watched the video, but I can't follow what I should do - I can't extract the map from the .sce if I can't load the .sce? (since it gives the abovementioned error when I try and load it)

P.P.S. Here's some more stuff I've tried - In the PE map editor, I made made a 'new' map with the FtPolk.hgt file, and applied the African Arid theme, then saved it as FtPolk.ter. When trying to run the sce, it still says it can't find FtPolk.RAW - is their something I should do to the .sce first in SB1? Or is that request for FtPolk.RAW hardcoded somehow into the .sce, making it not look for a .ter file at all?

I had a similar problem with Ft. Apache and since there are differences between the FT KNOX.hgt in PE and the Ft Knox.hgt in SB...you may want to import the old *.hgt and try again.

There are two kinds of .raw maps (which is why we changed the file extensions) - the rather large elevation maps, and the usually smaller terrain maps. Only terrain maps are supposed to be named .ter.
