I just got the 1/35 Revell AG model of the PzH 2000. I have read on the internet that reactive armour blocks can be attached to it, but I cannot find any pictures of this. The vehicle is just new, so there an virtually no references in print.

As sexy as it already is, I think that it would look incredibly badass with the ERA blocks.

Any help is very much appreciated.

I have the same model.. it's going to be big... :-) You using the metal or the plastic barrel?

My one's definitely not going to be mucking about with ERA. I won't say I'm a prefectionist for realism on my models, but since it basically never actually has ERA on it, my model won't either.

To the best of my knowledge the ERA would be limited to the turret top as a bomblet protection. But I have no image referece, sorry. :o

Thanks, guys.

3 Star: It is an ok model. The kit brake is good enough, but I am going to make a new barrel (the aluminum one I got has all sorts of 'novice marks' on it. I figure I can make a better one, plus I am going to drill it out.) I am having trouble with the tracks, though. The 'rubber bands' are full of marks from the ejector pins. Sadly, there are no link-to-link replacement tracks available, so I have to put up with the rubber bands until Fruilmodell or even Revell AG produce a set. The PzH 2000 is an awesome looking vehicle, and I want to see it with the ERA blocks in place on the turret and hull tops. I hate to make kits straight out of the box.

Now I think about it, will ERA go of when shot at with small arms fire? If so, how would you feel as the driver?:hallucine: I've heard stories about dismounts being hit by exploding ERA but I don't know what was setting the ERA off.

No, you can't set off later generations of ERA with small arms fire, their explosive material is pretty inert. Often the ERA plates are so thick that you can't penetrate them with rifles anyway, and I heard that they even withstand medium caliber rounds (20-30mm).

In addition, ERA plates do not necessarily fly around anymore. Again later models have been secured so that the top plate will bulge outwards (enough to reduce the effectiveness of the HEAT jet), but not fly around.

Thanks, Rump. Geez, I never even thought of checking the AFV Interiors site.
