Am developing a mission at the moment and am about 80% there.
Quick question - and shoot me down in flames if this has been done before.
The mission I am develoing is a defence\delay. I am not scripting any of the blue force play as I want the player to develop their own plan based on the briefing.
The question is: is the player able to apply tactics routes waypoints and preplanned arty during the planning phase? When I have used the test facility all I have been able to do is place the subunits within the boundries set. I could spend some time placing blocking positions etc but this will situate the players planning.
Any advice would be helpful.
Secondly I am not sure if I have overdone it on the vehs.
OpFor have 4 manouvre units each of approx 5 Pl. Blue For has 4 coy size groups plus recce Pl, anti tanks, 3 xFOO vehs and a small eng section. Due to the size of the Opfor I have also provided echelon packets to each coy - you may need to rebomb and fuel up!
Again any thoughts
The whole msn is based on the western side of Salisbury Plain Training Area (SPTA) this has been produced with a certain amount of artistic licence to make it feel a little more real as opposed to a load of dust tracks and a few dotted concreate block houses.
I will release the msn once I have sorted the scoring and the briefing. Hopefully early next week!
