I am working on a scenario that requires a
biber to approach an bridge head, lay a temporary crossing then move out of the way as the other troops pass.
Problem is, the biber approaches the missing part of the bridge and stops, the resumes it’s coarse without laying the bridge ending up in the river.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

I believe you have to create a waypoint at the river's edge, then create a route from that waypoint straight across the river with the "breach" condition set on the route. Then select your Biber and plot a course to that waypoint. Once it reaches the waypoint, it'll undergo the breaching routine.

For the "bridge units" to lay there bridge, "you" have to select the keyboard "space bar" to initate the process of deploying the bridge. Same works for if you want to "pick it back up", move to the edge of the bridge span and press "space" then the unit will start the process.

This is if your riding along with the unit, there is the "automated method" though.

Ps: and note here: To E-Sim .. We need a method to measure the width of the area to be "bridged" before you start the laying proceedure. How many times have i pulled up and started the procedure, only to find that the bridge span is 2mtrs to short for the gap! But just a few mtrs left or right the span would have fit the gap. Is there an "indicator or something" that can be shown or tell the operator that this spot is too wide for this span?

Hope that helps ..... 9erRed

Tried that too.
Nothing seems to make the biber extend it's temporary crossing.
I must be missing something some where.
Thanks though.

Hi, I have been trying out the Biber and MT-55 bridgelayers lately. I can feel your pain guys. Perhaps its best to study your map in details before making a mission. Try out where you can use the bridgelayer. From there start making your mission. I prefer to take control of the Biber myself when I reach the river. Lay the bridge with "spacebar" and get out of the way. Be very carefull when you move your armor across the bridge. Make colum and move them out yourself. If you let AI take control of this all then there is a chance armor get stuck in the water. I know you want to plan this for AI only but its very hard. If somebody knows a good way then please share. Thanks :)

If the gap is too wide, the bridge will not be laid by AI
