I guess that it will all depend on who buys the sim right?

Will we have to wait for Steel Beasts 2 to see the M1A2 or do you think it may be in a distant future update?

i think Pro PE gets better with age. so if you want all of it now you may get disapointed. me im waiting to see a major update. progress is at the pace of wine making.

the above does not reflect my personal view. i have no way of verifying the authenticity of the post.

This all depends who are the military customers. Personally I do not see a playable T-72 soon. There are no military customers who need a playable T-72. So I guess its more for SB2, the future tankgame/simulation for the general gaming public.
Im not sure if the USArmy needs a M1A2 ever in SBPro. It would be nice but not really needed. With SBPro you train tactics, doctrines, communications between units ect ect. Does the army need the latest Abrams for that? And if they do want it you have to wait your turn. I think the next project was an Austrian IFV for Spain or something. Forgot the name. :) eSIM is kinda short in manpower. And there are many things on the list. And hey... personally I would love to see a Dutch Leo2A6, Dutch CV9035, Dutch Piranha III too. In my dreams for now. 8) Im a happy tanker if I can use the Leo2A5, the CV9040 soon and yes... even happy with the Leo1A5. :)

Yeah I may be holding my breath for a long time. I'm all for a proposal seen in another thread about esim modding the TC's infrared site into the Abrams interior and giving the original M1A1 the double axis lead capability. Be close enough to me.

Still... seems like a lot of trouble and not something for the guys to put time into.

Am I just blowing in the wind here? The European marketplace is where SB Pro shines brightest because European clients are buying it the most to train their forces. I think the American customers are not going to see many updates (fixes yes... but no new vehicles) unless the US Army decides to adopt the sim. <sigh> crap.

Oh, if I see that thing, I'm killing it  It resembles the BRDM far too closely.

(PS. I want the T-72 prior to any additional versions of the M1. I want a REDFOR tank that was not manufactured in Germany! ;) )

armored cars make better recon/light scout then a hummer-type. you can make them all terrain and far better fording, and implement WMD systems. not to mention better protectection for crew, and have them potentially mount something like a 20mm autocanon.

To be honest they may prefer a consistant supply of body armor :(

I would however jump with joy to see a Challenger 1 or 2, however im not going to say too much, I havent got the game through yet, soooo I have to be grateful for what is ingame for the time being hehehe

Might be in with a chance for the frontline brothel then? :) Considering it took only 20 years to fix the SA80, I guess Esim can probably expect an order around the time Challenger2 leaves service.....

You couldn't be further from the truth. The CR2 gunners control handle was built for another customer.
