First one:

'Race For the FARP'
Medium 3-4 Player CO-OP

Excerpts of the battle Group commander's orders for BG 'Saviour'

1) SITUATION:
a) Enemy:
The Musorian 1st Mech Div is situated to the north of the map, currently conducting an advance southwards. It has been on the move for the last 4 days after having crossed its southern border with Neutralia . It is one of 3 divisions that are involved in the invasion of Neutralia along 3 main movement corridors. 11th Mech BDE is the lead BDE in the division's advance. The BDE's Forward elements have entered the AO (as far as we can tell) from the north on the east side of the river and have been assessed as likely to be securing both the Bridge at GR 908 329 and the airstrip at GR 8625 to ensure their forward resupply IOT continue their advance as rapidly as possible.

Having engaged and defeated the Neutralian Border defence units, it is believed the airstrip is a primary objective for the BDE and the DIV for immediate FARP to replen Fuel and ammunition.

It is believed the that Mech BDE is at approximately 30% fuel and 25% ammunition and is unable to replen from Divisional resources due to the slow going for B vehicles in the area during this time of year. Despite this, their are clearly offensively minded after their recent successes. Their arty Fire Spt is also low on supply and we have witnessed the use of only HE and SMK.

b) Own:
Australia deployed 2 Mechanised/Armoured BattleGroups to Neutralia 12 hours after its invasion to offer assistance. BattleGroup SAVIOUR and BattleGroup RELIEF have moved northwards into the 2 western most movement corridors. Your Combat Team APOSTLE , as part of BattleGroup SAVIOUR is the advance guard as we move north to locate the EN Mech BDE. Our Higher CMDRs intent is to delay the EN advance into Neutralia IOT allow additional allied forces from the US and UK to arrive in theatre.

The remainder of the BG is another 10km SW from your current location. Our current supply situation for the BG is good however, after a running engagement with EN screening forces last night your CT require replen for the armour. (Not the mech or cav elements). OSS has been made available and a replen marry-up is located at GR 8618

c) Attachments and detachments: No additional Atts or Dets are located under your command at this time.

2) MISSION:

BattleGroup SAVIOUR is to CLEAR the AO within Boundaries to PhaseLine Floodgate NLT H+06 (thats 6 hours from Mission start time). IOT provide suitable conditions for subsequent delay operations of EN forces within AO.

3) EXECUTION:
CMDRS intent:

It is my intent to conduct a clearance of the AO from our current location up to the Bridge at GR 908 329 so as to ensure no significant enemy forces exist behind subsequent positions deployed on the key terrain located at GR 8829 that will enable us to effect a delay on the enemy and any attempt by them to safely cross the river until a time NOT BEFORE H+48.

a) Concept of Operation:

The battle group will conduct an advance to contact with one CT providing the advance guard and conducting the main clearance tasks, and the remaining 2 CTS, the Fd BTY, Operations Spt Sqdrn(OSS) and BG HQ in the main body. One CT from the Main Body will provide rear and flank security for the BG during the advance.

Grouping and Tasks:

CT Apostle will be prodiving the advance guard and will conduct the clearance of the AO through its Recon Trp and will conduct any small scale quick attacks against EN identified at or below PLN strength.

CT's Acolyte and Defender moving in the main body.
CT Defender will provide flank and rear security.
CT Acolyte will be prepared for offensive operations in the event of contact with EN force larger than PLN(+) by CT Apostle.
Fd Bty will travel in main body and will provide priority IND FS to CT Apostle during its clearance.

ACTIONS ON:

Aerial Attk: Battlegroup SOP.

Contact by EN before Bridge of PLN strength or less: Advance guard to conduct quick attack with IND FS, clear EN and continue with AO clearance.

Conact by EN of COY or more: Adv Guard to maintain contact with EN, either allow and harrass EN wdrwl or fix EN until Main body can deploy for Quick attack.

Ambush: BG SOP at all tactical levels.

Urgent REPLEN: Call in Urgent replen and AS assests will be able to deliver fuel and ammo replen immediately at Airstripd.

4)COORDINATING INSTRUCTIONS:

LD for commencement of todays mission is from current Hides.
CT Apostle is to reach and report PL Airvent by NLT than H+2 and the Battlegroup is to be established to prevent EN crossing of PL Floodgate by NLT than H+6 to delay EN until Not Before H+48.
OOM for Battlegroup is CT Apostle (Advance Grd), CT Acolyte, BG HQ, Fd BTY, OSS, CT Defender (flank and rear sec)

Admin and Log:

'AS Cav Delay Pucka'

Medium 2-4 player Co-Op

Excerpts of the battalion commander's orders for...
A SQN 1 ARMD REGT (and) Recon Trp 1 ARMD REGT

1) SITUATION:
a) Enemy:
GENERAL: Musorian Armed Forces (MAF) have recently made a rapid advance southwards from Sydney along the MSRs in the vic. Hume Hwy towards Melbourne. The MAF's maine effort (ME) is the capture of the sea and air port facilities of melbourne IOF resupply and consolidation of their forces in the invasion of Australia. The rapid move from Sydney along the Eastern Seaboard has stretched MAF communication and supply lines resulting in the mechanised forces outrunning their supply. They are relying heavily on air transport for fwd resupply. As they advance, the securing of Runways capable of holding heavy lift A/C is a priority for resupply.
INT has identified the Hvy Runway at vic. GR 21 10 as a likely objective for the fwd elements of the MAF as they advance on Melbourne, providing them a FARP.

3 MECH INF BN (APC), 1 MECH BDE, 1 DIV, MAF is spearheading the advance along the Hume Hwy (15km east of our location), one of three MSRs INT has identified as in use for the 1 MAF DIV advance. We believe 3 MECH BN will have as one of its tasks the securing of the Hvy Lift capable Runway at vic GR 21 10 IOT resupply the division as it passes through the area and continues to Melbourne. RSI (2 CAV ) reports the BN appears to be reinforced with at least a COY from the Independent Tank Bn (T-80s). The Bn will no doubt be advancing to contact with its typical formation including a PLN (+) Combat Recon Patrol (point), followed by the Advance GRD 1-3km behind that (Coy +) and the Main Body (Bn -) 3-5km behind that. Their most likely course of action will be to conduct a quick attack off the line of march onto any resistance encountered. ie: the CRP clearing section strength defences, the ADV GRD clearing Platoon strength defences and the Bn clearing Coy Main Defencive Positions (MDPs). Their most dangerous CoA is to execute a pre-planned deliberate attack on our anticipated MDPs faster than we can dig in.

b) FRIENDLY:
Higher CMD 1 UP: 1 AS BDE ,1 AS DIV has been tasked with the delay of the enemy along the Hume Hwy MSR and approach to Melbourne IOT allow enroute USA support forces to arrive in Melbourne and Geelong. It is the Higher CMDR's intent to acheive the delay through the use of his RSI assets well forward (2 CAV) north of Seymour which has already been acheived. The next element of the 1 BDE CMDR's delay mission is to conduct a defence (as part of delay) of the likely enemy FARP locations. The Runway at GR 21 10 being the only one in the area on the Hume Hwy.

You: B and C Coy 3RAR, with 2 troops of A SQN, and the Recon Trp, 1 ARMD REGT are tasked with the defence of the Runway at GR 21 10 for the next 2 days IOT to delay 1 DIV MAF access to Fwd resupply and thus slow their advance on Melbourne. 3 RAR is in the process of digging in on the 2 Coy MDPs south and southwest of the Runway. You are in command of the recon troop and the 2 troops from A SQN. Supply is good, morale is high. You have TAC CON (tactical control) of the armour. TAC CMD (tactical command) goes to the Senior Coy CMDR from 3 RAR. You will exercise control of the armour to support the 3 RAR mission.

c) Attachments and detachments: For some unknown reason the 3 RAR Cmdr has assigned TAC CON of the DFSW and SFMG sections on both MDPs to you.
DFSW: (84mm Carl Gustav) 41B and 44B.
SFMG: (7.62 MAG58) 51B and 54B

Given the Command arrangements (TAC CON), the below mission orders are from the Cmdr 3RAR.

2) MISSION:

A SQN and Recon TRP, 1 ARMD REGT, are to DEFEND the Runway at GR 21 10 from Main Defencive Positions at GR vic 19 08 and vic GR 18 09 NLT (no later than) H + 35min until NB (Not Before) H + 100min. In order for 1 AS BDE to DELAY the enemy advance on Melbourne.

3) EXECUTION:

Intent: 3 RAR CMDRs intent is to defend the runway from defendable stage 3 dug in positions South and Southwest that offer observation and fields of fire on the Runway itself. The defence will be broken into 2 phases. Phase 1: The delay of enemy fwd elements from arriving at the Runway and MDPs for another 35-40minutes. Phase 2: the defence against the initial attack by the Mech Bn. By defeating the Mech Bn it is expected that the enemy's BDE main body will not arrive behind the Bn within the next 24 hours to secure the runway thus acheiveing significant delays on the MAF advance to melbourne.

a) Concept of Operation:

The defence will be broken into 2 phases.
Phase 1: The delay of enemy forward elements from arriving at the Runway or MDPs until after M + 40
Phase 2: The defence of the Runway within EA SABRE from MDPS against an initial anticipated quick attack by the MAF Mech Bn.

i) Maneuver:
GROUPINGS and TASKS:

RECON TRP : The delay of enemy forward elements will be facilitated by RECON TRP of 1 ARMD REGT. RECON TRP will delay the enemy at a series of phase lines and time allowances. RECON TRP is required to maintain force cohesion. Losses higher than 25% (1 AFV) is unacceptable. This (phase 1) will be the BN main effort for the next 40minutes as the BN prepares the defencive positions. On reaching Phase 2, the RECON TRP will occupy positions on the MDPs as available, 1 patrol on each position.

2 TRP A SQN: Will support B Coy 3RAR at the MDP GR 185 095 during phase 2

3 TRP A SQN: Will Support C Coy 3 RAR at the MDP GR 195 085 during phase 2

d) COORDINATING INSTRUCTIONS:

TIMINGS:
Phase Line ALPHA: Delay the enemy crossing Not Before (NB) 12 Minutes from now (M)
Phase Line BRAVO: Delay the enemy crossing NB M+ 20 minutes
Phase Line CHARLIE: Delay the enemy crossing NB M+ 40 minutes

Expect the MDPs to be completed and occupied somewhere between M+ 30 and 35mins

BOUNDARIES:

BN Boundary runs roughly SW-NE to the east of the MDPs and Runway, closely following the river. Do NOT cross BN Boundary as 5/7MECH and other troops from 1 ARMD REGT are preparing similar MDPs further east to engage likely enemy movement on the Hume Hwy (east off map)

5) COMMAND AND SIGNALS:
No Change.
