Here's an idea that some people from the (former) SB2 scenario group tried out briefly, without too much succes : Multi Single Player.

It deserves a 2nd try though.

The idea would be that 2/3 persons ("Multi") together build one scenario for "Single Player" - together, but indepently :

* One person gives a task to both the Blue scenario designer and the Red one.
But important, Blue doesn't know what is the Red task & vice versa (password protection and work alternately) !
* One person then builds the Blue side;
* & the other the Red side.

* This could become a scenario that is a bit larger, with e.g. a full AI-battallion on either side next to a player controlled company (and if no player is present on the Blue or Red side, a plan should be ready for the AI to take over the player controlled company).
* But as one person really only has to focus on one side, the actions of the AI-units could be developed more indepth, with several branching plans.
* And there is more the element of human verus human in it, à la MP, but in a SP scenario : more impredictability ?

Anyone interested ? Anyone challenged ?
(I probably don't have the time to build a full scale scenario - but if need be, I could overvise the building of one, by assigning the tasks = yes, the easy part)

Which one of these beautiful maps would we use : Haune Valley (< Gary Owen); Salisbury Plain (< Stuart 666); Over the Hill (< Alpha Sierra), ...

Rgds,

Koen

Wow I was thinking about something like this the other day actually.

It sounds like a marvellous idea, a little long winded, but blimey it might actually be a fantastic way to put the mechanics of SB to another very interesting use.

Good thinking mate :)
