Hi gents,

I was trying out a new scenario by Dragon6g called COLD STEEL today.

During the planning phase I was milling around in world view, finding good hull down positions and planning routes. When I noticed something bizzare which you can see in the pictures below.

This does not appear on the map as a destroyed item or an actual unit. Although in the third screenshot I have marked the area with a circle where the anomaly occured with the camera sprite at the actual location.

Just wondered if someone can throw some light onto what caused this to happen.

Cheers

No great mystery. It's an enemy AVLB. The game coded it as a terrain feature (after all, you can drive over it), so when you're looking at the terrain, you can see it. (But not the vehicle it's mounted on). The corollary to that was that when the AVLB was deployed, it would show up in green on both sides' maps.

This obviously isn't supposed to happen, it's been fixed in the upcoming release.

Ah brilliant thanks for clearing that up 3Star. I really did wonder what the hell was going on there when I saw that

But your explaination makes perfect sense and I can see why that would occur from that piece being coded as terrain.

Nice to know that its been fixed!

There are also problems with the bridge layers in the AAR. The AAR does not record the movement of the actual bridge. You'll see it floating in the air as the screenshots show. That in the upcoming patch/upgrade fixed also? No biggie but just wondering.
