Can anyone send me a '.pln' file which will beat this scenario. I've come to believe through numerous trials, that this scenario cannot be beat in single player mode.

Am I wrong? Has anyone been able to beat it? I am new and may be just quite inexperienced.

I've been spectacularly raped on that one several times, but I think I finally did prevail. Your initial positions aren't very good, and you want to quickly fall back and let the bad guys come through the defiles in the woods - then you put it to 'em.

When I get home I'll see if I'm remembering the right scenario, and if I saved my successful plan.

There is a good killing field on the company boundary between company A and company C, and I can sometimes get a kill ratio of 2.5/1, but I can't stop them from taking control of their assigned areas.

The Fulda Gap scenario was tough, but I have found a way to get a victory in that one, if I put 4 tanks in the choke point at the only road crossing the eastern river. Those 4 tanks will take-out a couple dozen Soviet tanks before they're disabled, and can generally prevent any tank from crossing the river.

I first got well hammered on this one trying it with the default plan, so I edited it an added more Tanks this made it too easy, then havinr read the latest AAR from the Battle labs trial, I decided to try this one again using some of the tactics mentioned (mainly ambush and sniper tank tactics), the first attempt did not go to well as red has access to top artillery while blue has low, I felt this was a bit overkill for red seeing as they already had a 3:1 numerical superiority, so I altered the balance by removing reds artillery and increasing blues arty rating to top, swinging the balance slightly more in blues favour perhaps, but with me at the helm they need some extra help just yet!! plus in some ways it helped to compensate for the AI's annoying determination to engae when I want them to hide ( my fault for not setting the hold fire command I guess, but they did insist on trappsing through a wood to start shooting)
the marders to the north along with just one tank platoon did a great job of slowing down that sectors attacks and they destroyed several tanks and all the PC's, the central section did very well though some AI commanders got their tanks waxed for no good purpose others perfomed brilliantlydestroying several T80's each.
The south section did the best, not one tank got passed them, this meant that they and the central section were now free to chase back towards the critical roads section ad defend aganst the tanks that had got past the north defences, they did this and destroyed all but 1 of the remaining tanks, result was a major victory.
I hope to figure out how to beat it without altering the arty, but I think it will take a better plan with faster moves etc, pretty difficult scenario to micro managewith such awesome weight of firepower against you, but fun nevertheless!!

I hope I aint bored you with my tale.

I tried this scenario all i did was put the tanks near the woods, put a tank with the marders for they have problem not firing on targets. Made sure my tanks don't start travelling on all those pre conditioned routes.

I think it comes with SB Gold; I can toss it in the Downloads section this evening.

I have beaten this one, but I don't have the plan that did it; there was a fair bit of improvised maneuver.
