NO not the car you noobs.

We've all be looking for a cheap alternative to the $1,000 cadillac controllers that are custom-made.

Well, my loving wife surprised me with an early Valentines Day preview. She found me this:

https://edimensional.com/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=120&osCsid=c33227f864cb31a8b5416d8133e753ab

This is the edimensional G-Pad (ironically) Pro.

Hmmmm... I know I know "Cobrabase! It's for shoot-em-ups!"

Maybe not so!

If you go to the website you can see that it might be adapted as gunner controls. The wireless version has almost zero control lag and you can adjust sensitivity on the fly with a toggle switch!

It's arriving a few days. I'll let you guys know how it goes. If you don't hear anything from me you can assume: A. it works and I'm gunning the hell out of people along with B. what little time I am not gunning in Pro I'll be gunning with the wife, if you know what I mean. I've been gunning on my wingman extreme for so long that I really think that this could be a righteous experience.

WAY TO GO HOUSEHOLD-6! You gotta love someone who gets you something to improve a man's virtual killing experience.

Can I "gun" the girl in the add? Holy...

Cool post. It's crazy, I've had this sim for almost a week now and I've seen very little of it as I'm bogged down trying to set up my controls to work "My Way".
It's a long story...
Gun 'em all my friend, let us know how it goes.

I have a similar gamepad with a gravity sensor. The experience isn't too great - it works, but think of it as an extremely spiky joystick since ALL movement is registered as input commands. Yes, it is possible, but I still prefer mouse and keyboard, even a normal joystick over it.

Then again, few things are so subjective as input devices, so your mileage may vary.

Reporting after first use.

The sensitivity adjusting is right on. The X axis is much easier to master than the Y. Elevation can be a little time-consuming when you have to lay the cross hairs on a target but I think that I have a way to make the Y axis more sensitive while leaving the X alone. If I can do that then I have to say the following:

For horizontal stabilization these suckers kick a joystick's ass. I have the ability to stay dead center on a sprinting BRDM across the range. I have firing trigger set to left index finger and lasing to the right. Zooming of the optics is through one key on the joystick pad.

It DOES take a while to get used to it. After gunning with my wingman extreme joystick in steelbeasts for 2 years and then Pro for about a year its a weird feeling but much more stable than my Thrustmaster F-22 digital and moderately more stable than my wingman.

I'm not finished testing yet. Like I said, I want to make the y Axis more sensitive. I'll give it a B+ with A potential if I can get it perfect. You guys should look into it.

P.S.
The Bradley's faster turret speed can give you seizures if you are used to using the controller in an Abrams. You really WHIP that 25mm around.
