M1 gun sound question

I'm going through the sound mods at the moment and I get to coolhands internal sound which I assume is the M1 and it sounds kind of weird to me, not that I've ever been in an M1 but it does'nt sound particularly metallic and how come it's nothing like the stock sim internal sound?

well, Volcano added some "oomph" to the sound, since you cannot feel the gun rocking the whole tank as you fire it.
