Hello all,
New here on this forum, came in ''contact'' with steel beast during a week long test and evaluation of steelbeast pro in our unit.

Use SB pro PE now at home and try to learn all the possibilities of it.

Furthermore, I live in the Netherlands, 36 years old and started in 1996 on the Leopard 2A4 (tankcommander), Leopard 2A5 (platoonsgt) and MG on the Leopard 2A6, currently staff NCO NBC/gunnery.

11E is my old callsign when I was pltsgt.

Regards,
Lesley

welcome, american here former 19K in us army from 90-94 youll find this is a friendly lot, with the occasional minor flareup, but as a whole very helpful and educational. You'll want to try multiplayer as soon as you can, while i havent had real time to sit down and do, i want to and hopefully ill see you there some friday or saturday night.

Thanks, I'am not familiar with US functions designations, what is 19K?
When I know all the tricks and functions a little better I'am for sure interested in the multiplay scenarios.

Never did it before so how to log in but I will find that out also. How are the multiplay scenarios. Is one person doing the planning (tactical symbols, minefields, FPFs etc) and have some players a dedicated tasks such as medical vehicle, engineers, artillery observer, XO, Pltcommander/pltsgt?

Regards,
Lesley

19K = Armor Crewmember, aka "Tanker", from 90-94 then most likely type M1A1.

The only way you can play over the lan is if you purchased the extra licenses that ssnake made available around Christmas time. The standard SB Pro PE only comes with one license.

Welcome :-)

Also new to this board I'd like to say hello to everyone.
Just ordered SB and hope it'll arrive next week. I'm wondering if I'll need a joystick to steer the vehicles or if it's possible with the mouse?

As a complete noob I'm also looking for a group of players (german or european preferred due to time shift) which can give me some extra lessons once I got used to this sim.

Welcome Iron hans :)

you dont need a joystick to steer the vehicles, a mouse will do, but some ppl thing a joystick is superior to the mouse (im not one of them thoe)

and for german players, go to ONLINE PLAY - Virtual Units and look at Pzbtl911. that is a german "clan" (we call it virtual unit here) who speak german mostly.

Cheers
