Steel Beasts Gold problem

Can anyone provide me some advise? I loaded some hires M1a1 mods and when I use them my system crashes and the error message is "d3drm.dll" and the graphics go all weird

When I change back to the original M1a1 the game starts without the crash, everything seems normal.

Help anyone?

Did you download the skins from the "SB mods" folder or from the "Pro PE mods" folder? My understanding is that the skins from the Pro PE folder won't work with SB Gold. Hope this helps.

I got them from the one standard Sb folder on the bottom part of the list. I did get them to work breifly a few times, I'm guessing it might have something more to do with my system. I reformatted and reinstalled XP media center and I still have the problem.

Make sure you rename the new skin to match the original file name.

You know what I went into the Steel Beasts icons properties and by using the compatablity settings. I checked the run 640X240 colors, run in 256 colors windows 98/windows ME.

So far no game crashes and the game mods work okay.

For a game that does not "look" as great as others I love to shoot those T-72 and light up those T-80's
