  2. Kanium Sunday 3rd of AUG 1800 UTC "Operation Desert Tortoise I" Special NTC by Apoc Where: Kanium TS : teamspeak3.i3d.net:10077 World clock 1800 UTC Everybody is velcome , though we recommend that new players contact Major Duck, Swordsmandk to get an intro to our use of TS and get setup and get a small get familiar session sometime before the scen as it can be a very very steep learning curve to play multiplayer compared to single player. Its our experience that most new players hang around much longer with that approach and most learn something new that way. We have no requirement for participants to be a member of our VU(Virtual Unit) and you can be a member of other VU's and still play with us or to participate on any number of games etc..., we have a rule that says that your only velcome when you want to play and remember family is more important then the game. Operation Desert Tortoise I by Apocalypse 1. SITUATION a. Enemy. An Armored Battalion from the 18th Armored Brigade is established in a deliberate defense along Pioneer Pass. They currently have one company of T-80U tanks, supported by dismounted infantry forward, in vicinity of OBJ SLAYER, that has established a disruption zone to provide early warning and maneuver space for the remainder of the Battalion, which has established their main battle zone around the bottle-necked area of Pioneer Pass. The enemy maintains sufficient indirect fire and engineer assets (we anticipate at least 1x mine belt surrounding OBJ SLAYER), and is being supported by a sortie of attack helicopters that it may employ at any time. b. Friendly forces are assembling for a Brigade-sized attack that will require Pioneer Pass to be clear of enemy forces. In this sector, Team Kanium will lead this attack by clearing enemy forces within the valley and seizing Pioneer Pass, in order pass elements from 2nd Battalion that will continue their attack to the West. 2. 5. Hello! When zooming into the CITV on the M1A2 SEP, the frame rate plummets to unplayable levels (around 5 FPS!). This is not present in any other thermal view in the tank, and the CITV actually works fine when you are not using the zoomed in view via F3. Below is a video demonstration: I know this has been reported at least once before, but I wanted to bring this issue back up. Thanks!

Operation Henchman Supports up to 18 players in COOP (1/vehicle) Task Organization D6 (CO, M1A2) D5 (XO, M1A2) D7 (M113 Ambulance) 1/D (M1A2) 2/D (M1A2) 3/D (M1A2) 4/A (M2A2) 1/E (M113, ENG) 2/E (Bridge TM) 2x Supply Trucks Direct Support 4x M1064A3 120mm Situation The 111th Brigade Tactical Group is defending in sector, with one enemy battalion (1/111th) established in a stronghold defense within the city of Al Shakir and another battalion (2/111) established in a defense in depth to the east of the city. The 111th BTG are equipped with T-90S tanks and BMP-2 IFVs as well as dismounted infantry with AT-3 ATGM and RPG-27s. The 111th has no ability to conduct any air sorties, but still maintains a 6-gun battery of 152mm artillery (offscreen). Additionally, the 111th has one Battalion (3/111) in reserve and may employ a counter attack force at any time - our S2 estimates that they will most likely employ a counter attack if Al Shakir is isolated. Additionally, there is an insurgent force controlling a canal crossing to the east of Al Shakir. Our S2 assesses their force to be composed of several rifle squads with AK47s and RPG-7s. Mission Your Company Team (D CO) must conduct a flank attack to isolate Al Shakir, to allow friendly forces to conduct a clearance of Al Shakir. Execution 1. Conduct an aggressive flank attack on Al Shakir to isolate the city and prevent further reinforcement and logistical support to the 1/111th. 2. Be prepared to conduct a breach of an obstacle belt, vicinity 11 Northing (engineers attached) and a canal crossing to avoid an insurgent stronghold (bridge team attached). 3. Be prepared to conduct a defense against enemy counter attacks once you have established a blocking position to the south of Al Shakir 4. Once you have established a blocking position, friendly forces will begin their assault on Al Shakir. Fires Battalion has allocated 4x 120mm mortars (offscreen) in support of this operation. Smoke and HE are available. Game Rules 1. Please stay within the boundaries - there are no real enemy forces in Al Shakir (for performance purposes) and you will get nothing out of the scenario if you cheat 2. The blocking position will be 'set' one minute after friendly forces occupy the area around the bridge. 3. You will be notified when you win, and the game will end shortly after. 4. Have fun, report any issues on the forums. Thanks A31 Image Credit: Revell model

It's now the third week of World War 3... On an unknown hill, in an easily forgettable area of West Germany, you brilliantly managed to position the remnants of your armored battalion, during the dead of night, on a strategic vantage point above an unexpected Soviet Armored Division. NOTE: This scenario has over 200+ enemy AFVs, and is only recommended if you have a high performance PC.

Alternative universe where the Soviets launched a massive attack in the mid 80s. Initial NATO defensive lines are crushed. NATO sacrifices a small unit of rat tag defenders to slow down a Soviet spearhead so NATO can setup a better situated defensive position. You are this desperate unit, where you will most likely die. You are piloting, one of two M1A2 prototype tanks at time of the invasion for trials. Fun defensive mission, lots of casualties, don't look for historically modeled units, look for a large desperate battle instead. The mission ends when you decide it does.
