mpow66m
What is the purpose of the NV display to the right of the GPS?I looked in wiki and nothing was mentioned.
Lumituisku
Im guessing it has same purpose than on other similar vehicles such as CV9030, Centauro, Ulan, Pizarro.... that the crew can do other things, while still being able to have eyes on the thermal sight without having their head on the actual GPS. And likely to maintain better situational awareness especially from commanders position. While still being able to.. rather easily see this TI monitor while for example unbuttoned or something. That is my wild guess. I might be wrong.

And to answer the original question: the purpose of the BiOc CRT is to provide for relaxed viewing of the SG-TIS, thereby reducing the amount of time the gunner has to keep his face in the sight (no more green eye, yay). Note that the BiOc is intended for target acquisition only, but a lot of crews shoot off the damn thing anyway. Assassin 7
LOL yeah a lot of crews do. Doesn't really matter which sight they choose to use. Both are lined during boresighting, The day sight Reticle and FLIR Reticle. Edited April 29, 2016 by dta delta
