You do NOT need Steel Beasts. http://www.twitch.tv/dogsofwarvuAVRANCHES by Connaugh This scenario is a simulation and does not have any political message.Mission Summary : The Bavarians are holding the key town of Avranches which needs to be taken to set up the planned offensive in Brittany.MapSITUATION:MISSION: Allied forces intend to take the city of Avranches and the DOW Armored Force is to advance south and take control of the town.EXECUTION: Combat Command A (CCA) will advance south and occupy Cerences and Granville and then assault Avranches. Combat Command B (CCB) will occupy Cenily and Vire and assist CCA with Avranches. Intelligence has ascertained that elements of the 69th Infantry and 17th Panzer Grenadier Brigades are manning the towns and hamlets in the area of operations. The 116th Panzer Brigade is expected to counter our advance. Each Combat Command will have two Tank Platoons (M1A2SEP), 1 Mechanized Infantry Platoon (M2A2), 1 Recon Section (M3A2) and a CSS Platoon with Supply, Medical, and Repair units that will follow closely behind advancing units. Three batteries of artillery (18 tubes) will be on call. Enemy tank units in the villages and towns are comprised primarily of 1A5's and some 2A5's. Enemy Panzer Brigade elements are comprised of 2A5's. Enemy artillery is expected. So, keep moving.
