12Alfa
Canada defeated the United States 4-2 Tuesday night in the preliminary round of the 2016 World Cup of Hockey in Toronto. The defeat eliminated the U.S. from contention for the medal round. The Americans lost Saturday’s preliminary game 3-0 to Team Europe and have one more against the Czech Republic on Thursday before their tournament is over.Read more at: http://nesn.com/2016/09/usa-needs-major-changes-after-embarrassing-world-cup-of-hockey-loss-to-canada/ Maybe next time.
Canadus
Go Canucks... wooot wooot. But what satisfies me even more, is the glorious defeat of the US team, by Team Europe. Edited September 21, 2016 by Canadus
Homer
For most Americans who have read this, it's the first time they are hearing about this even though it's a significant event in the hockey world. Maybe good omens for the upcoming season and a Canadian team can finally bring home the Cup for the first time this century. P.S. I'm pretty sure Canada is the largest supplier of oil to the US which makes the title of this thread of this thread a bit more ironic than intended.
12Alfa
Being the first time you may not know we have a huge room of cups. ( Canada has been one of the leading national ice hockey teams in international play, winners of the 1972 Summit Series against the Soviet Union, four of five Canada Cups dating back to 1976, nine Olympic gold medals(the most in the world), including three of the last four: Salt Lake City 2002, Vancouver 2010, and Sochi 2014. They are 26-time IIHF World Champions and winner of the 2004 World Cup of Hockey. Canada is a member of the so-called "Big Six", the unofficial group of the six strongest men's ice hockey nations, along with the Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Sweden and the United States.[3] ) PS, Yes but we have the syrup, but you don't like it for some strange reason In 2013, 65% of Canadian maple syrup exports went to the United States (a value of C$178 million) Edited September 22, 2016 by 12Alfa
TSe419E
I thought a better title would have been, "Maple Syrup vs. Corn Syrup." Personally, I prefer maple syrup.
