How ERA works in SB?

How much protection  it offers against HEAT and sabot(in RHA)?

There are different types of ERA?, or all vehicles use the same generic ERA block?

 What kind of ammo and caliber can detonate the block?

Sometimes i hit and destroy a tank with HEAT and the ERA blocks seem intact, there is the possibility of a random failure with ERA not detonating?

there are new and old vehicles in Sb. the older vehicles ERA bricks don't disappear when they are hit, unfortunately. 

the ERA are different. K5 ERA and the ERA on the T-72M4 has some effect against KE, unlike the K1 ERA.

Yes, in SB the T-72M4, T-80, T-90, Pizarro, Challenger 2(?), have the "old ERA" where the blocks don't get removed on the model. The T-72BV and T-72B1V have the new blocks that get removed. The idea is to use the "new" method from now on, when the old vehicles get updated or new ones added.
