Gibsonm
Who is BG ANZAC? http://www.bganzac.org Described here: http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbforums/showthread.php?t=21753 A couple of examples of the BattleGroup at work: Multi Player session: Training session: So if you are interested, visit our web site http://www.bganzac.org and sign up. Timings: Thursday evenings, Australian time. So Daylight Saving has kicked in here and for the next 6 months the country is broken up into yet more time zones. Next meeting: 0830 GMT on Thursday, February 23rd 0830 in London 1630 in Perth 1800 in Darwin 1900 in Adelaide 1930 in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra 1830 in Brisbane 2130 in Auckland Local time for your part of the world This may need to be adjusted given the late start in NZ, perhaps moving to 0800 GMT? So a work around: Mission will start promptly at 0830 GMT. If you want a pre game "chat" then by all means come on line at say 0800 GMT, but so that the Kiwi's aren't after Midnight the Mission will commence promptly at 0830 GMT. Count down: Time to Meeting start We continue the use of TeamViewer so people without the Steel Beasts software can connect and see and hear what we see and hear (looking over our shoulder if you like). http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx?pid=google.tv.s.au&gclid=CPLOveOGlcECFVgkvQodqk0A4g This maybe a suitable vehicle for people to see what the software is all about, without having to invest in even a short time limited copy. Anyway we'll see how it goes. Agenda: As always depends on sign ups but: 1. We'll have our third Chong Ju solution (trace below). So far we have had two "workable" solutions to the problem and the standard has been good. If people are bored with the current one I have a version 2 file of the original and a "not so easy" option, which we can use if you like. Please Note: A plan file that you have built for the original will not work with either of these newer ones, so if you want to use your plan file, we must use the original scenario. Or you can get one of the newer ones and "update" your plan to suit. 2. If there isn't enough for "Chong Ju", then we'll look at an alternate scenario. 3. Scope for Q & A / Tutorial session - again depends on responses and if people come ready to ask questions. As always, visitors / first timers / spectators are welcome. Current Standard: 4.010 Please use the new Calendar RSVP function or post here to facilitate planning.
Panzer_Leader
Planning to be there. I have an updated scenario for play-test if there isn't a quorum for Chong Ju (unlikely).
D u k e
Servus, I'm in too. Rhys can you put the mission in the ANZAC Dropbox. I can make a test too. cheers D u k e Edited February 19, 2017 by D u k e
Gibsonm
All three are there now: 1. Standard - the one we have played last couple of weeks. 2. Ver 2.0 - Fixed some pathing issues (the tank spawns in location depending on which route Blue takes, rather then being static at mission start and driving to the right position, APCs go into position properly) and made the minefield out of a few small ones, rather than one big one, so you can have two breach routes. 3. "Not so Easy" - Triggers determine quality of enemy and they launch a C-ATK.

Panzer_Leader
It's always good to have our Bundeswehr exchange officer join us on the virtual two-way range. Like a true Aussie, he punches above his weight!

Gibsonm
Another great "write up" thanks again for popping by. If I'd know you were sitting back and munching popcorn I would have given you a tank to command in the maelstrom.

It conveys the tempo of the mission nicely. I've corrected some of the errors I noticed during our play-through and am close to final testing, pre-publication.
smithcorp
Here's some shots from V31's perspective We had previously bumped into a fleeing civvie car, so when V31, creeping into our overwatch position way up in the north, getting ready to watch the roads east, saw a dark shape on the road to our left, at first iu thought it was another car or civvie truck. Nope, it was a T90, spearhead of a CRP. My second callsign only survived because Tango 1-1 was able to hit him in the flank as he was about to kill my retreating ASLAV. Thanks 1-1! This apparently prompted the enemy to take the southern route, allowing D u k e's FO team to coordinate multiple ICM fires onto their approach routes Then later, as I probed east to make contact with the T90 company passing down our right flank, I bumped right into the enemy at close range - they were already crossing the ridgeline protecting our flank and heading for a handy re-entrant. Two close-range surprises in one night. Luckily the skipper, as well as Tango 1-2 are able to hit them as the head down the slope I contribute some paint scratches, trying to damage their optics with my 25mm But after one T90 passes by, a second survivor notices my mosquito bites and turns to deal with me - time to retreat again Dismounted Javelin team from V31D gets some kills before their vehicle is destroyed just before they can rearm Viewed from V31D's dismounted FO team (D u k e) the ICM barrages are beautiful Tango 1-1 callsign helping to blunt the enemy thrust Edited February 26, 2017 by smithcorp spelling
