Sander91
Hello, I'd like to get into Steel beasts because I really like simulator styled game with modern vehicles. Though, I do not know howto get this game, where to purchase the version everyone is playing. I've tried to download the beta to try it out but it apparently didn't work on Windows 10. And I am not sure if my Pc is compatible with the requirements for Steel Beasts. If someone could help me that would be very much appreciated.
Gibsonm
Welcome! Sorry to tell you, but there is no publicly available Beta. There are however several options to purchase it (time limited or enduring) detailed here: http://www.esimgames.com/?page_id=1361 Basically: One Month: US$9.50 Four Months: US$24.50 One year: US$39.50 Permanent: US$125.00 Once you decide on a purchase option, this thread will provide you with a suggested way forward and a list of Virtual Units in various time zones that maybe of interest: http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbwiki/index.php?title=Starter_Pack Edited April 15, 2017 by Gibsonm
Major duck
Here is how to buy it i recommend you try it for a Month first: http://www.esimgames.com/?page_id=1361 Please read this section:http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbwiki/index.php?title=Starter_Pack On 14/4/2017 at 2:31 AM, Panzer_Leader said: Also, allow yourself 2-3 goes to feel comfortable in multiplayer. I remember when I first joined multiplayer, after months of solo play, it was quite disorientating and it was probably only after the third time or so that I felt I "go it". Now, multiplayer is probably the apex of the Steel Beasts gaming experience. I completely agree with Panzer_Leader We offer a "New Guys/Virgin" training session where 2-3 guys go online with you and try teaching you and/or let you try out different ways of doing multiplayer including how you operate in a Platoon how you need to behave move around position your self etc... (because coming in to a game with 20-30 guys is way overwhelming at least it was for me) We also recommend trying the different VUs because every one of them are a little different in their playstyle so shop around and find the one that fits your style and/or timezone. frankiekam
Hi Sander91 Looks like you downloaded and tried to install the original Steel Beasts demo of year 2000. That won't work with anything later than XP. Nobody plays that version for multiplayer these days. Besides, Steel Beasts has progressed leaps and bounds for the last 16 years. So, if you can, I highly recommend that you give Steel Beasts Pro PE a try. Getting the USD125 permanent version is something you will not regret. Steel Beasts Pro PE will give you many hours of enjoyment, especially multiplayer games. Otherwise, it might be prudent for you to give the one-month license, or the other options that Gibsonm listed, a go fiirst. I believe that this link would be useful for you as you consider the license options. There is another 'alternative', albeit a very clunky one. If you are game, I can help setup my Codemeter over the Internet so that you can give it a try for free for a few days. For this to work, I will have to stick my Codemeter into my computer and my computer has to be online. My timezone is the Twilight Zone. Just kidding. UTC+8 Kuala Lumpur time. When it's 12noon in London, it is 7pm night for me. The catch is that during those few days if you are playing SB Pro PE with my Codemeter setup to recognise your IP, then I can't play it. And vice-versa. Sniff. Cheers Frankie Kam, Malaysia Edited April 15, 2017 by frankiekam
Members Ssnake
...or, rather than trying to get all the associated network configuration right (which usually is a source of massive frustration), consider a time-based license for a modest price, $9.50 for a month, $24.50 for four months, of $39.50 for a full year.

Gibsonm
I suspect he wont due to security/ email harvesting. But add "ssnake" to "@esimgames.com" and you should get through.
