The only surviving original A7V is in Australia (and in not so good shape, I seem to have heard). The "new" one is a replica, based on original blueprints, and seems to have been an engineering project of the Bundeswehr University in Hamburg, ca. 1987 or so; production was then sponsored by a number of defense contractors. These days the A7V can be seen on display in the Panzermuseum in Munster.
