CalAB
Is it possible to copy the .mrf files, images in the desert and tis in the terrasim folder over into the corresponding folders in the normal PE directory and be able to place/ add these images into the map editor and or mission editor?
Members Ssnake
No. These are elements/features of custom maps (as generated by 3rd party software, in this case TerraTools). There is no implicit or explicit import function for these.

Members Ssnake
Also, I might add - not in response to your inquiry but for future users who might come here searching for "MRF": MRF files are a signal by developers that they don't want to share what's inside. That's not the only reason, they also offer certain advantages with respect to loading times, but a reason, so before tinkering with them you may want to consider possible copyright violations associated with it and what the response of developers will be when it comes to related support requests. Maybe what you want to do can be achieved by other, supported means.
CalAB
Sorry Chief, didn't mean to alarm you. I was curious if it was possible. All objects have the .mrf file designation along with skins and I thought it mite be possible to simply move the files from the Terrasim folder over and bingo, I would be able to use some of the objects from a map that no one uses. My apologies
