ceedub
With Track IR, if you move your head forward slightly, while in F4 view, it gets you right up to the vision block and expands your field of view. Which I think is very realistic and not a cheat. Edited December 30, 2017 by ceedub

You can actually zoom the view through F4 view if you have one. which I'd interpret as a "cheat". "Expanding your field of view" is different and I wouldn't have an issue with that. Unfortunately I don't know which of you is correct. Edited December 30, 2017 by Gibsonm
ceedub
What I meant to say was that with Track IR, while in Commanders position, and either partially or fully up in the hatch, you can lean forward slightly and improve your view about 2X , without using binos. Which is good for a quick overall scan of your surroundings while maintaining situational awareness. The actual zoom effect you get is the same as what the F4 view gives you IMO.
Members Ssnake
...which would be 8X, per standard virtual binocular specs.
wildbillkelsoe
this is for M1A1? I dont think its even 1 X as the red lined vision blocks are practically your eye view. I have to try zooming in with trackir to see the alleged 8x zoom.
Members Ssnake
Binoculars across all vehicles are 8X. I hope there's no such magnification available in any vehicle's vision block view.

Eye view not binos?
Gibsonm
I'm not Nils but: "N" activates the binoculars. Binoculars provide greater magnification than your ordinary eye, but at the cost of a reduced field of view.

wildbillkelsoe
I was referring to the trackir lean forward and headbutt your screen zoom axis. Is there a keybinding to that function in eye view?
