Crusty
Hello Gents, I thought you might like to see some pictures of the stand at ITEC last week, first off I would like to say a big thanks to our two helpers, David King, and Koen, Oscar was due to lend a hand but unfortunatley couldn't make it, maybe next time Oscar, So lets kick off with a picture of the crew, left to right, Me(kev) Don ,David, Nils, and Al.
Crusty
Here's some general views of the stand, bear in mind the idea was to try to demonstrate a class room setup, we had four PC's, two set up as CV90/40 commander and gunner, the other two set up as LEO 2A5 commander and gunner, Nils had the laptop and acted as the instructor, with his screen view duplicated on the TV. SB on a big tv looks so good
Crusty
And here's a more detailed view of the LEO 2A5 commander setup, using a Maxtor triple head setup, it looks really good, and it made the commanders position even more usable, highly recommended if you can afford it.
RogueSnake79
Nice pics. I think they would have had to take an inventory of the hardware/cadillac's, if I had shown
Crusty
And here's the last four pictures of the LEO 2A5 commander set up. Next year ITEC is at ExCel London 18-20 May, we'll need helpers again, so if you would like to help it might be worth making a note of the dates, cheers, Kev.

Gibsonm
Yea, some people wanted to take them home  a certain nice Australian gentleman had his eye on the M1 commanders handle. That's no way to talk about Rob (I'm sure he'd object to use of the term "gentleman"). Anyway I've just spent the day with him in a room with about ten M1 controllers and ten ASLAV ones (with more next door) so surely he couldn't be after more. Me on the other hand ....

GH_Lieste
Nice, can anyone tell me what the joystick arrangement is in those shots?AFV sim's custom controller handles. The triple-head has a Leopard 2 Commander's handle, the one to its left is a Leopard 2 Gunner's handle.Opposite are the Gunner and Commander handles for the CV9040.The Leopard 2 gunner's handle is a delight to use, but the CV90 is a bit heavy and clumsy for my tastes. Neither commander's stick moves, and the controller is just an analogue thumb pad on the top of the grip.Big hands are an advantage, as the buttons are a bit of a stretch with the palm switch active. The sticks are not commercially available - licensing restricts them to military customers to all practical purposes, quite apart from the $1000-1500 per unit price - which is a bargain compared to original control handles from scrapped tanks, which have a value of over $20,000 - but it is well outside sane prices for desktop controllers for home use.

Koen
Whats David Kings forum nickname and where is koen?David Kings forum nickname = GH LiesteKoen: I'm not on the pictures, was only there for some 2 days, but had great fun with the handles (yes Kevin, with one of those I'd be more a gunner in SB),and I also got the white shirt with eSimlogo, that from now on I always wear when playing SB !But most of all, it was a real pleasure to meet with all of you over there: real SBitizens (as Hackworth says) and fun to be around with.Rgds - K
