Continuation of Research

Hello again,

My colleagues and I at Auburn University will be using Steel Beasts in a research study on team learning and performance. You may recall a post I put on the forum a few months ago. The responses provided by the Steel Beasts Forum members helped us to rate the pertinent tasks in Steel Beasts. I'd like to thank those of you who participated previously.

We need some more assistance in obtaining information from subject matter experts about the tasks involved in playing Steel Beasts. We can think of no better way to contact subject matter experts for this game than through these forums. Therefore, we are asking for some volunteers to provide us some information on the relationships between the 14 tasks we identified with our previous study in a short, web-based survey.

It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to complete. This information will be used to later compare the performance of participants in our study who are learning to play the game.

Also, we would like to have an idea of the amount of time you have spent playing Steel Beasts and your opinion of your skill level. If you are interested in participating, please send me an email that answers the following questions:

1. On average, how many hours do you spend playing Steel Beasts in a given month?

2. How long have you been playing Steel Beasts?

3. On a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 indicating a complete novice and 10 indicating a person who is currently one of the best Steel Beasts players, how would you rate your current skill level at Steel Beasts as compared to all the other players you know either personally or from the forums?

Once I have received your email, I will send you a link to our survey.

As mentioned above it, shouldn't take more than a few minutes to

complete.

We greatly appreciate your assistance.
