GaryOwen
I found a copy of the old US Army FM 17-12, Tank Gunnery from 1977. It primarily addresses M60A1 gunnery. Other than mere historical value, it's got some good stuff in it. I'm scanning it and will post it in two parts due to file size and my having a biscuit scanner. I've just uploaded the first part, it's waiting approval; I'll get the second part up later in the week.

Curry
That's a great manual! Can't wait to get my hands on the second part.
Koen
THX Gary, for all this scanning !Must have taken a lot of work.I'm more interested in tactical vignettes, than gunnery. So before I download 29 mb, are there vignettes (that could be turned into SB-scenario's) in the file ? Rgds, Koen
GaryOwen
The second half has got instructions on setting up gunnery range tables. Illustrated fold-out pages are used here and I'm trying to decide the best way to scan these with my limited equipment.
GaryOwen
Okay so part 2 is now up for Sean and Homer's imprimatur. A better job could have been done on the fold out pages. But I'm not a professional and I'm doing this at home. And I'm wearing a silly hat.

GaryOwen
I'm fairly certain that there's plenty in that manual that resulted from the US Army/Bundeswehr cross-pollination during the MBT/KpfPz 70 project.
lg1jchow
Hi Gary : Are the file of the manuals still on line ? I really like to take a look at it. ( I was the gunner of M48A1 in the ROC Armor brigade in the early 1980 ). Thanks

lg1jchow
Thanks for answering, I am new to this site, bumped into it while searching for M48 documents. Can you kindly show me how to navigate to the "download" section to access the FM 17-12 ? ( I don't see any download link on this page )

lg1jchow
HI Tse419E : Really appreciate the files. BTW, I served in ROC army from 81-83 as M48A1 gunner. We heard about the M60 in the US army with envy : 105mm gun, gyro-stablization and the diesel V12. Thanks.
