JanTog
I think Esim have to get the finger out , here is the real sound of CV9035DK and there is a big difference in sound compared with SB Pro PE. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJdRsE7QJ1g
Moderators Volcano Posted April 20, 2010 Moderators Share Posted April 20, 2010 It sounds like ass (the recording). If you can get a proper recording of the CV90 engine, not from a microphone in a video camera, then it will certainly be added in if you like.
Members Ssnake
I'll be happy to arrange a proper recording next time I go to Denmark. Wasn't there also the problem that we currently only have one "PC sound" for all tracked non-MBTs?
Moderators Volcano Posted April 21, 2010 Moderators Share Posted April 21, 2010 Well, I think we have "something" in the archives but the quality of some recordings were questionable. But yes, the problem at the moment is that there is one generic sound for all PCs, which will hopefully be improved one day.

Members Ssnake
I learned to appreciate the importance of good software architecture over the past decade. But you can overdo it (OneSAF) just as well as being totally chaotic about it, each alternative not very attractive (though for different reasons). SB started as an elaborate hobby, so we had on occasion to cut corners, and these are coming back to haunt us. Still, I don't see how we could have done substantially better under the prevailing circumstances. Sometimes you just have to give up perfectionism in order to actually produce a tangible result, even if that spoils the cleanliness of working for the drawer.
