One question, what is Tank Battalion delimitation zone (width and depth) in km. I suppose that depend of type of land, but it has max and min.

It should depend on not only terrain but on the other METT-T factors as well. (Mission, Enemy, Terrain, Troops, Time).

In Afghanistan typically a tank platoon detached to support infantry operates alone (well, together with the infantry of course), so that a tank company - if your army happens to actually have an entire company of heavies in theater - will be dispersed over the entire area of operations (e.g. the totality of the Helmand province, in case of Canada).

Yeah, that FM is of more historical rather than practical value at this point.
