TGIF plan (25 JAN)

This week's TGIF plan (25 JAN) will be a little different and hopefully a lot of fun. We have put together nine 45 minute head to head scenarios which are linked together forming a Fulda Gap campaign of sorts. The scenarios are linked by a branching tree format so depending on what happens in one scenario it will (in the briefing) specify which scenario is played next, with the possibility of it going back and forth depending on the outcome. And before anyone complains, given how well or how poorly you do may of course result in some scenarios favoring one side over the other with the initial emphasis resting with RED).

Now before you are scared off by the mention of nine scenarios, we certainly do not plan on playing all nine scenarios that night, but we would like to play through at least two every TGIF until the "campaign" is complete. The only request is that everyone sticks around after the first scenario is complete (in the AAR / AA) so that we can play the second one (unless you need to leave of course). If you are only capable of playing one then that is perfectly fine, I only mention it so we don't have to waste time wrangling everyone up again who quit right after they lost their vehicles. Also, be sure to choose the side that you will not mind playing for the duration since we will try to maintain continual teams.

Anyway, these scenarios were originally created over eight years ago for SB1 so the very oldest of players might have played them before. Countless hours were spent updating them to SB Pro PE standards so it should be fun to play even if you played it before. Just show up with a little patience and ready to try something new. If it is popular enough then it might justify the expenditure of time and effort to create more like it.

*Beta version required to play*

Yes, but it won't take the direct loss for loss over from one scenario to the next (it would be nice if it did though) however it will setup the next situation/scenario depending on two choices (if red or blue won the last one). Red has superior numbers for the most part (at least in the beginning) but they have inferior equipment. If Blue does well enough then they will gradually stem the tide. The main thing is that it will create a bigger picture of something you are fighting for rather than an individual scenario. :)

Well, round 1 is over. Blue immediately stopped the red attack, which was a very close game. This sent us to the second battle, scenario #3. In the second battle red had to go on the defensive and, again, it was very close but red held off the counter attack. Next week we will move on to scenario #2 with red again on the attack.
