blazer05
I am really new to SB and last night I played a scenario with a company of M1A1s and some Bradleys.I gave orders to move and the infantry just ran alongside the Bradleys which slowed down the Bradleys to a crawl. How do you tell infantry to load up and then disembark when you want them to?Sorry if this is a dumb question but it was frustrating watching them crawl along the map.
Skybird03
"U" and "Shi-U" tells them to load and unload. If you give them the order to load, they will stay so until you manuall unload them again, or enter a battle position. IFVs will see the infantry moving along with them if moving at slow speed and "react" or "scout" as tactic. Else, the IFVs will move one or two hundred meters when being ordered to move somewhere, then will stop, load their troops, and continue the movement. So, minor relocations do not automatically load the troops.
Members Ssnake
...this only works however if you are personally present with the vehicle. Computer-controlled units unfortunately do not behave like this for a number of reasons that lie with the development history. We need to give it another look some time this year.
Tacbat
If you are playing the Beta version, you also need to be watchful over your mechanized forces as from time to time they will dismount themselves if stationary over a period of time.
