You have the Centauro.

indeed we do !  however we dont have the piranha 10 x 10 ...yet

Neither does any country in the world … as your video stated it was a prototype. From around 1994. That hasnt been bought by anyone as an actual in-service vehicle.

So why do we need it/them?

Without drama and given that Esim have only a limited number of ressources in general, then I would submit that there are many actual in-service vehicles we need far more.

That is awesome, what a great concept! Each round fired comes from all those countries with love, plus the first round hit comes with a bird's nest to boot! Does the V stand for Vorpal? I love vorpal weapons, automatic decapitations. I wonder if it does +5 damage to ogres too. :P (Sorry, was too amused by the bird this morning when I researched the Leo 2A7V)

I dont need in-service vehicles. Adding playable crew positions to older epuiptment would be of much greater 'value' to me. BMP1, AMX13, PT76, Scorpion, BRDM2AT etc

What happened with killing/sacrificing rodents for The_List? It seems to have faded away over the years...

I ran out of Squirrels.

Trials with other rodents have been less than ideal.

the_List seems to respond only to black squirrels.

For you reviewing pleasure

Jeebus, I need to update this.

Vehicle suspension? check. - Crikey! How many of us thought we'd never see that one?!

3D Vehicle Crewmembers ? check.

Weather effects (rain, snow)? check.

Chemical weapon strikes ? Think they're working on it.....

Useable Loader's machine guns? Eeeeeh, some of them.

Still.

I know it's been mentioned before, got to keep it in the light away from the shadows, probably the best IFV / Scout the Ajax, would be awesome

six variants: AJAX, ARES, APOLLO, ATHENA, ATLAS and ARGUS. Each AJAX variant will be an agile, tracked, medium-weight armoured fighting vehicle coming soon to an army near you.

One idea I would like to see is an upgrade for the Leopard 2A6 and 2A5 thermals to the Attica system. I don't know about other countries, but the Royal Canadian Armoured Corps is currently fitting all 2A4M CAN and 2A6 CAN with the Attica sight. If not possible, the TIM sight for the Commander of the A6 and A5 looked extremely similar, so applying the same picture would be sufficant.

One thing that would make me very happy with infantry...

When two enemy squads are firing at eachother in the terrain they lie down (of course, we all want to live) but that often means they break LOS due to terrain. so out of maybe 8 persons 2 are actually shooting at eachother with single rounds. the other ones just lay there taking a coffee break. I wish there was a LOS check so if they can't fire when lying down they kneel and try to shoot from there. And of course if the suppresion bar goes high enough so they are suppressed they will go down and take cover again.

agreed this would be a pretty desired  modernization as imo one of the main Reason i prefer M1A2 SEP over any of the  comparable era Leopard 2 series currently represented is the Superior Thermals Resolution and Magnification for them.

This would go along ways fro the 2a5 and 2a6 without having to introduce an entirely different Leopard Mark

Thanks for the bump, I'm hoping it can be done. Quickest fix is giving the gunner sight the same view as the TC. I have heard rumors that some countries have also updated their magnification values with the Attica system as well but I can't confirm that.

Its been purchased by several of the military users of SB I believe?

A disable function for TC-override.

This command can help ?

T: Identified! Tells the TC that you have located a target and that you are going to engage it. Essentially it tells the AI TC to leave you alone while you engage and forbids the AI from overriding you to another target. Use at your own risk.

Some ideas (i haven't read through 237 pages sorry)

Radio reports all look and sound the same and it's hard to distinguish which are most relevant to the player. So maybe a different colour specifically for your platoon.

Having a voice for the TC commands like 'Fire at will' or 'Hold fire' etc.

It would be tactically helpful to get status reports from your platoon or individual wingmen.

iahHhyo.png

OK5cMM8.png

And it would also be useful if they could tell you when they had finished reloading (I think at the moment the only way to know is watch whether their turret has resumed scanning)

oEkdY4M.png

And I don't know if it's possible but it would be great if the mouse cursor in the gun-sight could get progressively more transparent the closer to the centre it gets. It has a tendency to obscure the target when you're trying to aim.

azcnCKv.png

Also - Stabilise the TC's 'eye' and 'binocular' view - at it's currently modelled if the tank pitches up or down the TCs' view pitches up and down with it - this is unrealistic.

In real life we don't consciously need to keep adjusting our head up, down, left and right just to maintain our desired view....it happens automatically. Even on a roller-coaster our eyes and head easily and invisibly compensate for the movement and it's no problem to remain focused on something far away. In Steel Beasts' eye & binocular views we must constantly chase the mouse around in order to keep our eyes on something - this is a) unrealistic and b) annoying(!). If my binoculars are trained on a barn 2 kilometres away then they should remain there - and not suddenly point upwards just because my tank has driven onto a gentle slope.

For sure it would be even better if vibrations, uneven ground, collisions, impacts and inertia could be transmitted to the eye & binocular views to add some dynamism but the main thing is to get them stabilised.

Night-time switch - a switch, perhaps automatic, that dims the map display, radio communications bar, right-click menus etc for use during night time scenarios.

That's good idea! And possibility to hide the radio chat window or make it bigger to read it though
