Rock, Paper, Scissors scenario

Hi all,

This was a scenario I came to love when I bought SB1. It's one of the training missions and I think it's a great lesson for a beginner. The map is nice and open, with simple terrain features, and you can play the scenario in a number of ways (as intended).

Obviously, all I've done is simply convert the SB1 scenario - I haven't messed with any scoring or anything like that (don't know how). My question is, would it be appropriate to upload it? I've no way of asking the original creator, and I think it would be a nice scenario for a PE owner that does not have the original.

Hi Guys,

This mission is great for beginner.

I have tried playing this mission with 3.019.

It seems to work.

However, I find the map used slightly different than the one in sb gold.

There should be a small road between the forest for ambush.

However, the map used in 3.019 does not have it.

Sorry is this is a noob question:

How do you add small road to the forest?

I suspect using map editor, but how?

Can you give me some pointers?

Thanks Gibsomn for the explanation about detaching/attaching units.

I have played with Rock, Scissors, PaperProPE (Original v.3.019).sce again.

And I have noticed something strange.

When I make new route and connect it with waypoint 47,

my platoon should go to waypoint 47, then go to waypoint 28, then 31.

However, they just stop at waypoint 47, even after I take control and press "c",

they still won't move.

why?

I have tried a few times, the result is the same.

Then, because they won't move, I make a new route to 28.

Now, they move.

However, after reaching waypoint 28,

they won't go to waypoint 31, but circling endlessly around it,

and as the result, they always get killed by enemy tanks up north.

I set tactics on "march" from 47 to 28, then "engage" from 28 to 31.

What is wrong here?

From the orientation of the arrow of the route, it is going from WP28 to WP47 (and also from 28 to 31). In other words, WP28 is a branching point. You need to create another route leading from 47 to 28, and create an embark condition on one of the two routes leading away from 28 that prevent the unit to commute between 28 and 47 until it runs out of fuel.

You are correct about the arrow orientation.

That is the culprit.

I don't know why it is being changed,

on the original sb gold version,

it is from wp47 to wp28.

I have watched the first two, they are indeed very informative and useful for beginners like me.
