Itkovian
Salutations.I am currently going through the Leo 2A4 trainings and I've been having issues with the "multiple units" scenario, and I would appreciate some assistance if possible.Essentially, I am having trouble with the "flanking" unit getting taken out by a unit enemy tanks (not sure if they're T-72s or T80s) as they head north by northwest to circle behind the objective. My issue is that the unit usually gets wiped out shortly after spotting the tanks, and there seems to be little to do to avoid that fate. I know I could simply rework the battle plan since I know those tanks are there, but then that'd be cheating in a way. Now, my gunnery rating is 95%, and the other units fare rather well, but this unit simply gets picked off. I can get the tank I control to engage them, but I am unsure about the others. Is there a way to tell an entire unit to turn and engage these tanks? To order an entire unit around from the TC's position? A better way to spot these tanks? Also, unrelated question: are there multiple levels of turret damage? I was hit once and could still elevate the gun (aiming by turning the tank), but could not in another instance. Is there such a think as battlefield repair (I read somewhere that sometimes that stabilization damage can be fixed)?Thank you.Itkovian
Members Ssnake
Whenever you spot a target or suspect its presence you can have your entire platoon stop and face the direction into which you are currently looking by hitting "E". This is essentially an Action left/right/front/rear drill which also sets the fire control command to "fire at will", should there be limits. The tanks will stop their current movement and try to maneuver themselves into a hull-down position towards the direction where you're currently looking. That alone should help you a bit. I'm sure, others will come up with more suggestions.
Tibbs
Try a bounding overwatch.Have one tank take a position to cover the other as it moves forward. When the second tank is in a position to cover the first tank, move the first tank forward. Repeat as needed.Take advantage of terrain and natural and/or man made cover such as trees and buildings to conceal your move.If crossing open terrain with little or no cover pick your spot and get to it at full speed using a zig-zag pattern to make yourself less of a target. This won't prevent getting popped by that well dug-in tank to your flank, but it will at least better your odds.Hope this was helpful!

Damage varies depending on where you were hit, by what, from what range, etc. Some damage can be "repaired" in battle and is only temporary. Higher levels of damage require support repair. What damage you sustained and time till repair (if applicable) will be shown on your upper right monitor.

Members Ssnake
Is there a way to quickly order a bounding overwatch maneuver on the map, or would I have to detach individual tanks from the unit and manually order the tanks around?Click on the symbol of the leader of your second platoon section (lower right corner of the screen), and select "advance to..." from his context menu while you are in the F1 view and looking at the terrain. Then click on the spot where you want him to be. While he's traveling you can overwatch the terrain. Once that he's in position you right-click the mouse in the F1 view to designate the intended new position to your own driver.Repeat for successive bounds.
Itkovian
Excellent, I will try that tonight. That said, last night I completed successfully, with no losses (well, one tank had a fuel leak, the other lost main gun and gunner). In another successful attempt, it ended with the CO tank driving up over the ridge to come face to face with a T72, destroying it after declaring a battlesight engagement. Very exhilarating.
