hoggydog
maybe not tank training but more like tanker recruitment

Gibsonm
Well if potential OPFOR use WOT as a training tool, then that sounds like great news to me.

enigma6584
Well I guess those of us who play the OPFOR vehicles in SBPE will have to play a good scenario, video record it and create a several part movie like Zipuli's Brave Rifles videos in order to show the potential of SBPE as a training tool. Put that up against any videos of WOT. I'd bet we'd win the Oscar.

Gibsonm
Maybe I can help you there. No rousing music, etc. but a 3D representation of a doctrinal template "in action". Basically a Red Mech Bn attacking off the line of march in accordance with the attached diagrams, but with Blue manning the defensive position. Hedgehog
I think it'd be interesting to pitch a bunch of WOTers against the combined forces of BG ANZAC, 3rd Regimento, 911 & UKA and see how much of a drubbing we could dish out. :sonic:

DarkLabor
In WOT? Or SB? In SB! At least they could discover the benefit to have a line formation, and hull down positions... Instead hiding behind bushes and waiting to have highlighted silhouettes to shoot at.
Hedgehog
In WOT? Or SB? Well, what do you think? (I thought this was obvious, but yes Dark Labour has hit the nail on the head.)
Tjay
In SB! But we would get trashed in WOT - unless we could have 5min practice first.
DarkLabor
But we would get trashed in WOT - unless we could have 5min practice first. Agreed. At the same time we would need to turn off our brains in order to ignore laws of physics and logic. Especially the not WYSIWYG game engine...

Especially the not WYSIWYG game engine... Maybe I could acquire a Vickers light tank with a V8 Meteorite Engine (400HP, Hehe, Allllllriiiight) and a 128mm PAK 44?
DarkLabor
You know... When you see the ARL44 with the stock turret coming from the FCM F1 concept.............FCM being a different constructor from ARL... Yeah, sure you can get your Vickers!
Members Ssnake
What I really don't get is how at TankNet - of all the sites of the internet - everybody seems to be excited about WoT while for SB Pro ... it's crickets. You'd expect that at least there some would be interested in what we're doing.Maybe it's too close to the job - for some ... but for all of them?

Members Ssnake
Not a very practical suggestion ... although it does have some academic merit.

Tacbat
Maybe just pose the question to see if there would be any interest over there for a WW2 version of SB. That would cause some discussion I should think.
