RedWardancer
Folks, what is your suggestion on a good headset? I may not come up with a joystick controller yet, but it's pretty obvious that a headset is required. Now I'm on a budget (college ya know), but I don't want to go cheap either and have to buy a replacement in one month for buying junk. Opinions please
Lt DeFault
I use a $5 desktop mic I got at a drug store and a cheap pair of ear buds. I have to lean in to the mic a little, but everyone says I sound loud and clear. Been using the mic for years and years. I go through headphones a little faster as I use them at work, too.
RedWardancer
It can be said that you don't always get what you pay for, meaning the higher the price the better the quality. Got it.
Hedgehog
I use a cheap Mic I picked up for about 10 quid ishHeadphones I spend no more than £20, as they tend to get in the f**king way when I'm not using them, and therefore break often.

MDF
I use a $15 headset/mike combo from Radioshack. Has lasted at least 7-8 years so far. Audio quality seems good to me, as does mike output (for example, no complaints from other players re: my voice quality or levels; voice recognition software has no evident problems).
Swordsmandk
I got a g35. Its super sweet and everything at hand. Also had Siberia before. Sound is sweet but additional Wire for mic is Meh....
profevil
I also use a steelseries headset, really nice and comfortable for using 10-18 hrs at a time. Also built in mic and extensioncable. (Keep away from cats)

Gibsonm
I have a Turtle Beach one that is useful because its cordless and only needs to be plugged in to recharge.
profevil
10-14 hrs are a bit much but i use them for work things also. I tried cordless ones, but i found they had some problems with bad filters for the transmitters, so the side frequencies were all over the place making my recivers unhappy, that said.. If you dont have radiorecivers i dont see it as a problem :-)
Venator
I'm using a Saitek X45 joystick and don't care for it very much. There was a dedicated gunners controller offered on the website at one time. Are they still available? If so, where?
