Iarmor
IDF M60s in the Sinai pullback ceremony of February 1980 (as of 0:35):    Note the ERA bolts. The ERA itself was removed for the ceremony, since it was still classified back then.  High resolution pictures can be found here.  Edit: the link for the pictures works well now. These tanks belonged to the 252nd armored division.   Edited March 24, 2018 by Iarmor

Members Ssnake
If that's the recovery vehicle that you have, well, you'll bring it.
Gibsonm
I just thought they'd have a CV-90 recovery variant. Â I mean if the Leopard breaks down (Heresy I know) I doubt a CV-90 will recover it.
Members Ssnake
The Dutch may have sold their Leo fleet to Finland, but why sell brand new recovery vehicles (and then pay at least as much for a CV based recovery vehicle (if it exists?) that will be, by virtue of its smaller size and mass, be less capable)?
Bond_Villian
It is a thing (according to wikipedia); Bärgningsbandvagn (Bgbv) 90, (Armored Recovery Vehicle). Two 9-tonne winches provides a maximum capacity of 72 tonnes through 4-way pulleys. Three have been upgraded to C-standard.[19] and at least has been used in Afghanistan.

Sure, but that requires spares, etc. to be held for a different vehicle type. Â I guess it also means the Canadians miss out (didn't they buy pre-loved Dutch Leos) on recovery vehicles?

Dutch and German troops are intertwined at Corps level, in parts down to battalion level. Apparently this isn't seen as an unacceptable logistical or operational burden. Â Quote I guess it also means the Canadians miss out (didn't they buy pre-loved Dutch Leos) on recovery vehicles? The bulk of the Dutch Leo 2 fleet went to Finland. The "leased" German Leos were "returned" to Germany as newly built vehicles straight from the KMW factory. Recovery vehicles may have been built new - whether based on the Leo chassis or some other platform, I can't say.
