    I. SITUATION
        Enemy forces defending the area with a mechanized infantry brigade (BMP-3) supported by T-90 tanks. We expect a disruption force positioned between PL AXE and BOW with mostly light and mechanized forces with their main battle zone between PL BOW and CHAIN, followed by a support zone around the town of Kupo and Port Surao. We expect to see company battle positions defending along key terrain, supported by tank platoons in hide sites further to the rear. Enemy forces are oriented on the Main Battle Zone, but will fall back to Port Surao and Kupo to defend. We dont expect a constested landing on the west shore, however, the north shore is defended and the enemy has conducted probing attacks against C Co's position all night.
     
    II. MISSION. Attack to clear enemy forces from the Kupo Penninsula.

    1) SITUATION:
        a) Russian forces have surrounded Fox Company. They are currently engaged in battle, consisting of a regimental reconnaissance company and 2x Enemy Tank Platoons. Expect enemy reinforcements as soon as twenty minutes from H Hour in the form of;
               
         1x Tank Company (T-72 Variant Unknown)
                
        1x Mechanized Infantry Company
                
        1x Motorized Infantry Company
         - Intelligence indicates Russian reinforcements from the East
              
        b) Fox Company is encircled in the town North of your initial deployment zone. You have a Leopard 2A6 company with a BMP Platoon at your disposal. 

        c) Attached assets include mechanized scouts and UAV support.  Artillery x3 Batteries. 540 HE, 216 Smoke, 540 ICM. FASCAM/CAS Unavailable. 
            Priorities of Fire; F Co,  A Co ----- TRPs have been marked for priority fire missions. 
        
    2) MISSION: Time is critical in your tasking. You must break through the enemy screen in order to reinforce Fox Company. Failure to hold the town will result in the user's failure of the mission, regardless of statistics. Russians are commencing an assault on Fox Company and can be expected to attempt to overwhelm within the first few minutes. 

    3) EXECUTION: Player's Discretion. 

    4) NOTES: 
        a) This is meant to be a harder mission for veteran players. It is currently being tested. Please give feedback to Rooks And Kings, and help me tune it appropriately to a challenging, yet fair experience for the Steel Beasts Community.

    I. SITUATION
        a. Enemy. An enemy Mechanized Infantry Company is established in a defense-in-depth surrounding the villages of Nangar and Zarga. They have established forward defensive positions near the town of Nangar with an Anti-Tank Gun Platoon supported by light infantry. Further to the south we have detected a mechanized infantry company of BMP-1s, supported with a Platoon of T-55 tanks in a deliberate defense near the village of Zarga. 
        
         b. Friendly forces consists of two companies: C Squadron is a light reconnaissance company currently positioned to the north. They are equipped with fast attack vehicles (jeeps with 50caliber machine guns) and scout teams. B CO, our tank company is equipped with 3x Platoons of Centurion tanks (Shot’Kal) and supported by a Platoon of M113s and infantry squads, as well as 4x mortar carriers and a support element (Medical, Resupply, and repair) 
    II. MISSION. Attack to destroy enemy mechanized forces between Phase Line Silver and Phase Line Bronze.
     
    III. EXECUTION 
        a. Concept: C SQDN (Recon) will conduct a recon in force to clear the enemy anti-tank position from Nangar, then pass B CO to destroy enemy armor between OBJ SILVER and BRONZE.
     
        b. Commander Intent

  6. Plug The Gap

    I. SITUATION
        a. Enemy. The enemy has quickly assembled combat power for an immediate attack across the international boundary. We are expecting a mechanized infantry battalion (BMP-1) with T-62 tank support to smash through the border crossing of Al Diraj within the next 15 minutes. The enemy is continuing to prepare for follow-on attacks at a staging site that we have identified to the south. 
        
         b. Friendly. This attack has caught us completely by surprise and combat power in the area is extremely limited. A light infantry company from Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCL) is staged and loaded at the FARP to the north and prepared to move. A tank squadron from Lord Strathcona's Horse is en route and should arrive in approximately 30 minutes, along with an armed escort of a flight of AH-64s. 
     
    II. MISSION. Defeat the enemy attack and prevent further attacks from occuring in the area
     
    III. EXECUTION
        
        a. Concept. Defend the border with light infantry that are currently loaded in the Chinook helicopters at the FARP. There is an in-bound tank squaron that will arrive in approximately 30 minutes. Delay the enemy and wait for the tank relief force. Once tank support has arrived, prepare a counter-attack to re-establish the border and then destroy remainder of the enemy in their staging area to the south. 
      
     b. Tasks
            1. Hold the enemy - prevent a total breakthrough of the area
            2. If necessary - clear Al Diraj and re-establish the border
            3. Destroy the enemy forces in the staging area to prevent further attacks
        
    c. Fires.
            12x 155mm have arrived in sector and are directly supporting your efforts
        
        d. Aviation
            A flight of AH-64's are en route with the relief force. 
     
    IV. SUPPORT
        The FARP is the only means of support right now, however the tank Squadron will arrive with its own organic support

  9. Combat Team Flank Attack at Hamelin 1990 v1.5 (4.162)

    You command Combat Team D of The Grenadier Guards Battle Group (Gren Gds BG), comprised D Squadron 17th/21st Lancers, with a cross-attached armoured infantry platoon from 1st Battalion, The Grenadier Guards.  You have three troops of Challenger 1, two Challenger 1 of squadron headquarters and one platoon of Warrior at your disposal.  Two patrols of Scimitar from Gren Gds BG recce troop are attached.  Two batteries of M109A2 with ICM, HE and SMOKE from 2nd Field Regiment, Royal Artillery are available for indirect fire support.
     
    Commander 4th Armoured Brigade’s intent is to resume the advance toward HAMELIN as soon as possible in order to secure its critical road and rail infrastructure and isolate the spearhead of 20th Guards Combined-Arms Army to the west.  Commanding Officer Gren Gds BG has made your tank-heavy Combat Team D the lead formation of the battle group and you have been ordered to advance north-east from AERZEN to secure EDINGTON in troop (platoon) strength or greater.  You are to secure EDINGTON no later than H+90.  Your combat team is not to advance beyond limit of exploitation (LOE) ALFRED.  Once CT D has secured EDINGTON the remainder of the Gren Gds BG will conduct a passage of lines through LOE ALFRED and secure the remainder of HAMELIN.
     
    Major, the plan to complete the mission is up to you.
