This is the story of an Advance Guard Company : * Scenario is based on Tactical Vignette 97-1 from Armor Magazine ("The Battle of Durango Valley"). * You choose to be either commander of a single Leo or platoonleader in Advance Guard Company "Avenger". Your platoon is player-controlled, the others are computer-controlled. You and your company will be under orders from an AI coy-CO. * Scenario is playable from both BLUE and RED side in Single Player. As RED you command a BMP-platoon + attached infantry : a wholly different perspective on the same battle. RED has a briefing as well.

Mine Sweeper FOR FUN

For Fun Only Mission 5 rows, 5 grids each, 1 tank per row. Pick your grids, sit back, and watch the fireworks. Goal is to get as many kills as possible, of 5 tanks. Each row, 1 grid chosen at random. 20% chance per row. Kind of like the old Mine Sweeper game, just a quickie mission to see an example of how to use random variables.

Joust 2 - Single Player

Joust2 - Single Player There is no resemblence between this Joust and the excellent Joust by WW. Joust 2 is available in Single Player, Multi-player One vs. One or Multi-player Two vs. Two. Each variation has a normal and a hard difficulty. Hard has no outside view and the tanks are blind. You must have the Bosnia terrain map and the YullasRidge height map to play these missions. You may download both directly from Steelbeasts.com in the map section or just go to: http://www.steelbeasts.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=getit&lid=493 Below is the briefing: You have 4 Abrams and 3 Leos. So does your opponent. You each start at the far end of the Battle Engagement Region. You each have no control over the driver or where you are going. Your driver will take you at high speed along one of three routes. These routes go through the narrow valley in the middle or the high ridges on each side between the two towns. If you reach the end of your route alive, the driver will randomly choose one of the three routes to return upon. Thus, you may find your self in a head on collision or swiftly passing your opponent going the other direction. Be alert! If you die, your next tank will be activated and you will be after your foe once more! Scoring includes number of kills, percentage of hits and time to kill. Time is 45 minutes.
