    6) SCORING:

        a) Scoring is currently turned off until I figure out the best solution to score it accurately. For now, end the mission once you've completed all briefing objectives and then evaluate yourself on your success / failure.

      7) DESIGN NOTE:
        a) ASLAV-PC used instead of LAV-25 to simulate USMC due to wanting the player to have more control over their forces.
        b) Second scenario I've made so please give feedback and report all bugs / quality control issues to ROOKS AND KINGS on the Steel Beasts forums or the TankSim discord.
        c) Thank you to Apocalypse for editing the scenario and giving feedback.

SPECIAL THANKS TO TANKSIM DISCORD FOR TESTING
SPECIAL THANKS TO BEN & APOCALYPSE FOR DESIGN FEEDBACK AND TIPS

  8. Operation Moses - Israeli Invasion of the Sinai (1973)

This is a large alternate-history scenario in which the Israelis preemptively invade the Sinai before the Yom Kippur war in 1973. You are in command of a combined-arms battalion and tasked with seizing two Egyptian strong points in 4 hours, before night falls.

The Egyptian defenses are both randomized and reactive to your assault plan—as such, the scenario will play out slightly differently every time you try it.

    Singleplayer: Yes
    Cooperative: Yes
    Head-to-Head: No

Your forces: M60A1, Shot'Kal, AMX-13, M113A1, infantry, engineers, and mortars
    Egyptian forces: T-62, T-55, PT-76, BTR-50, and ATGM teams

(This is my first scenario for Steel Beasts -- any comments and suggestions you have would be very helpful!)

    Briefing:
    "The Christmas War"
    Scenario Date 22-12-1965
    Backstory:
The Soviet Union has (yet) another crack at Finland in a Second Continuation War set in Mid/Late December 1965.
The Soviets have pushed as far as Selänpää from the Northern South Karelia region.
The Artillery to the East is preventing Southern forces from counter attacking and pushing the Soviets back eastwards.
Your job, Majuri, is to neutralize that artillery.

    1) Situation:
Visibility is limited to ~2500m. Ground conditions are snow (Lots of Snow. Welcome to Finland!) cross country mobility will be fast, well in a T-55 at least.
Roads should not be your primary method of mobility. Pack a Shovel though.

    a) Enemy Forces:
Known enemy force operating in your area: 1st Fictional Russian Mechanised Brigade (1FRMB). Intelligence estimates enemy forces to be composed of a heavy force consisting of tanks, mechanized infantry and light infantry.
Approximate strength of the enemy force is an under strength brigade. Approx Force strength = 1 Battalion uparmoured T-55s, 1 Company BTR 60s in support.

    b) Friendly Forces:
Your forces consist of 22nd Finish Fictional Armoured Brigade (22FFAD), a reinforced battalion composed of tanks and mechanized infantry.

  10. Operation Titan

Excerpts for the Orders of the NATO commander “ZERO,Alpha”.....

    NATO SITUATION:

Russian forces are holding a large town “Frohnsdorf”, they have mechanised infantry all around the area, accompanied with a large amount of Tanks.

10 Minutes ago, five key players in NATO assembled for an attack, they are: UK (Royal Wessex Yeomanry), US (8th ACR with USMC teams), Germany (1st Airborne reg), Canada (Princes Patricia’s Royal Regiment) and Denmark (2nd Armoured Infantry Battalion Jydske Dragon)

We are going to conduct an attack on particular points to Destroy a hostile force, this includes each individual country taking a specific OBJ.

Enemy forces are high in numbers, they also have an arty battery in the AO, so that will need to be destroyed at some point.

    FORCES:

    US:

The US forces consist of 3 companies…

A Coy, This is the 8th ACR combat arms team, they have M1A2 Sep’s, alongside M2A2’s.

B Coy, The logistics element, all of these forces are combat support.

C Coy, The USMC element, M1A1(Ha)’s, M1126’s and HMMWV.

    UK:

These units are all part of Alpha company, The Royal Wessex Yeomanry are a reserve regiment consisting of A,B and D squadrons, they also have some warriors from the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment attached to the battlegroup. The Royal Logistics corps are also providing combat support for the operation.

    Germany:

The German forces are the airborne element of the assault, they have CH-47 Chinooks, CH-146 Griffons, MRH-90’s and Tiger ARH’s. They have individual infantry teams for specific roles.
    They have no ground assets.

    Canada:

The Canadian teams are made up of the Princess Patricia’s Royal Regiment, they are a light armoured infantry brigade with attached Leopard 1A5’s and 2A5’s for CO and XO.
They are equipped more as an infantry force as opposed to a heavy armoured force.

    Denmark:

These are a reinforcement team, they will mainly be helping the Germans and the British most probably, as they have no set task as to what to capture.

However they have a mixed mechanised and armoured force, with Leopard 2A5s and CV90s.
There are other assets but mostly their kit taken from the Americans and Germans.

    OBJECTIVES:

US: Assault and destroy any units in your designated objectives and then move and attack Frohnsdorf alongside the British.

UK: Move South and then East, so that the minefields are avoided. This will mean going into heavy contact with t-90s, so be prepared, but hey, Challenger 2’s have the best armour in the world. Then attack Frohnsdorf.

German: Send some of the forces to the specified german AO and attack the enemy, this means that when the UK and the US forces, come through the area should be clear. Otherwise provide fire support where necessary for other friendly forces, and maybe send some infantry their way. Remember you can get men to specific places quickly, so have some helos as a QRF.

Canada: Move south and eliminate the enemy CSS point, then turn and assist the enemy at Frohnsdorf. Your forces will come into contact, so it may be worth calling in support from the Danish forces.

Denmark: Assist the friendly forces wherever possible, but in the meantime, move South avoiding the minefield, and heading toward Fohnsdorf, but be prepared to help any of the other NATO forces.

    NOTES:

ZERO Alpha is the NATO commander.

Activate the relevant triggers when objectives have been completed.
If all AFV forces become lower than 15% then the mission will end.

Some vehicles will have different mounted infantry, eg a platoon of 4 CH-146 Griffons have mortar teams in for fire support. Some other vehicles may have missile teams in, it depends.

The USMC M1126 Strykers are represented by AMV XA-360s with 0.50 .cal RWS. This is for playability purposes.

The UK force has to be played as the mission can only end by the UK trigger activation, Fohnsdorf taken.

  11. Road to Ghoramshir

The Iraqi 24th Mechanized Brigade breaks out into the rear of the defending Iranian forces and must make its way to the crossroads leading to Ghoramshir. Medium to large cooperative scenario set in the era of the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s. Playable vehicles include T-62 tank, BTR-50s. Highly randomized ENY forces enabling high replay ability value. Large mobile tank battles possible.

Can be played in single player but would require person to utilize the planning phase with routes and triggers in order to control a large force of this size.

  16. BRAVE RIFLES CAMPAIGN

June 1988 - West of Hannover. The epic World War III journey of 3ACR is finally here!

The BRAVE RIFLES multiplayer campaign was originally played in February 2011 by members of PE community. Many have asked for the scenario files since, so I decided to update the scenarios for the latest PE version. In addition to small changes here and there, mission ending events have been added.

There are 10 missions in total. The mission results carried over to next missions are according to the original playthrough in February 2011. Notice that the missions do not have scoring. The mission is either completed or it is not.

There is a video AAR series of the original playthrough available in youtube, here is the link for the first AAR (mission 2 in this campaign):

Enjoy! And remember, WW III was not supposed to be a walk in the park! ;-)
