  1. Counter Stroke at Hunfeld

    Summer, 1987

Soviet forces have made an attack across the inner-German border, only to be halted within a day by fierce resistance from German units fighting for their own territory, rapidly scatterable mines, and a superior NATO air force.

NATO forces will now attempt to breach their own minefields and strike against the Warsaw Pact forces before they can regroup.

    Playable vehicles for Blue include:
    M60A3 TTS
    Marder 1A3
    Leopard 2A4
Numerous supporting assets, including FIST-V (AI will not call for fire on it's own)

Blue forces are responsible for conducting their own recon, planning and executing a breach, and capturing two objectives in a limited amount of time.
It is possible for a single player to complete this mission, with the help of some scripting in the planning stage.

This the first scenario I've uploaded, so comments and feedback are welcome.

  2. Advance to Contact

New update includes ammendments suggested in the Forum ie ARP, and messages from flanking formations wrt enemy mov. Having played the mission last night in COOP I have also introduced penalty zones plus of the boundries. Many thanks, CharlieB File contains the Msn File and Stuart666's Salisbury plain map on which this msn is based. Adv to contact from Battlesbury to Imber and secure LOE. You command a Sqn Gp including Recce, inf and CSS elements in addition to your Sqn of Leo 2a5s. Scenario work well with King tiger's CR2 and WR modifications for the Leo2 A5 and the CV9040B. En is randomized to encourage playability. Msn is good for single player if you are happy with all the moving parts or better as a multiplayer for teams such as the ARRC. Good luck and feedback very welcome.

    MISSION:
The Afrika Korps is to assault with the intent of capturing the Commonwealth strongpoints and destroy 75 per cent of the Commonwealth force, paving the way for an advance into Egypt.

    EXECUTION:

Then assist the Etruscan Infantry by capturing Mersa Matruh. Next, the Armored units will swing east to assault Bir Sarahna, Minqar Qaim, and Bir Kalda. The Commonwealth positions will be defended by the 10th Indian, 50th Northumbrian, and 2nd New Zealand infantry units along with the battered remnants of the 1st and 7th Armored. Two weak battle groups,  Leathercol and Gleecol, have been formed to defend the center between Mersa Matruh and Sidi Hamza. 14. THE TOYOTA WAR: CHAD-LIBYA 1987

    THE TOYOTA WAR: CHAD-LIBYA 1987
    by Connaugh

The Toyota War is the name commonly given to the last phase of the Chadian-Libyan conflict, which took place in 1987 in Northern Chad and on the Libyan–Chadian border. It takes its name from the Toyota Pickup trucks used, primarily the Toyota Hilux and the Toyota Land Cruiser, to provide mobility for the Chadian troops as they fought against the Libyans. The war began with the Libyan occupation of northern Chad in 1983, when Libya's leader Muammar Gaddafi, refusing to recognize the legitimacy of the Chadian President Hissene Habre, militarily supported the attempt by the opposition Transitional Government of National Unity (GUNT) to overthrow Habré. The plan was foiled by the intervention of France which limited Libyan expansion to north of the 16th parallel, in the most arid and sparsely inhabited part of Chad.

    SITUATION:

Libyan forces have fortified various villages into strong-holds in Northern Chad.

    MISSION:

Chadian Forces are to assault and capture the Libyan strong-holds of Faya-Largeau, Fada, Ougui, Quadi Doum, Zour, Ountanga Kebir, and Aouzou using the mobility of their "Toyota" trucks. If possible, a raid into Libya to capture the Air Base of Maatan-As-Sarra is to be attempted.

    FORCE COMPOSITION:

    3 x 50 Cal MG Truck Platoons

  17. CHAOS IN THE CHOUF-MOUNTAIN WAR IN LEBANON 1983

CHAOS IN THE CHOUF-MOUNTAIN WAR IN LEBANON 1983
    by Connaugh

The Mountain War or Guerre de la Montagne in French, was a subconflict within the 1982-89 phase of the Lebanese Civil War, which occurred at the mountainous Chouf District located south-east of the Lebanese Capital Beirut. It pitted the Christian Lebanese Forces militia (LF) and the official Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) against a coalition of anti-government Muslim leftist militias led by the Druze Progressive Socialist Party (PSP), backed by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Syria. Hostilities began when the LF and the LAF entered the predominantly Druze Chouf district to bring back the region under government control, only to be met with fierce resistance from local Druze militias and their allies.
In the wake of the June 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon, the main Maronite Christian ally of Israel, the Lebanese Forces (LF) militia of the Kataeb Party commanded by Bashir Gemayel sought to expand its area of influence in Lebanon. The LF tried to take advantage of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) advances to begin deploying troops in areas where they had not been present before. This territorial expansion policy was focused on regions known to harbor a large Christian rural population, such as the mountainous Chouf District, located south-east of Beirut. By early 1983, the Lebanese Forces' managed to establish garrisons at a number of key towns in the Chouf, namely Aley, Deir el-Qamar, Souk El Gharb, Kfar Matta, Bhamdoun, Kabr Chmoun and others. However, this brought them into confrontation with the local Druze community, who viewed the LF as intruders on their territory.

    SITUATION:
As soon as the last Israeli units left the Chouf, the Druze launched a full-scale offensive on Lebanese Forces positions at villages throughout the Chouf.

  18. The Schleswig-Holstein Question -- Resolved

    The Schleswig-Holstein Question -- Resolved
     by Connaugh

The Schleswig-Holstein Question  was a complex set of diplomatic and other issues arising in the 19th century from the relations of two duchies, Schleswig and Holstein to the Danish crown and to the German Confederation. The British statesman Lord Palmerston is reported to have said: “Only three people have ever really understood the Schleswig-Holstein business—the Prince Consort, who is dead—a German professor, who has gone mad—and I, who have forgotten all about it". The central question was whether the duchy of Schleswig was or was not an integral part of the dominions of the Danish crown, with which it had been associated in the Danish monarchy for centuries or whether Schleswig should, together with Holstein, become an independent part of the German Confederation. The Second Schleswig War in 1864 resolved the Schleswig–Holstein Question violently, by forcing the king of Denmark to renounce all his rights in the duchies in favour of Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria and King William I of Prussia

Currently, the "Irredentia" Party gained control of the Danish Parliament and secret preparations for reacquiring Schleswig began.

    Mission:
Danish Armored Forces will cross the border and take back Schleswig. The main objectives will be the Towns of Husum and Schleswig. Initial resistance is expected to be light and the Armored columns are to rapidly seize the objectives and prepare for German counterattacks.

    Execution:
1st Brigade will advance rapidly down Highway A7 and seize Schleswig.
2nd Brigade will advance rapidly down Highway B5 and seize Husum.

BATTLE OF KARAMEH - War of Attrition - 1968
    by Connaugh

The Battle of Karameh was a military engagement between the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and combined forces of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) in the Jordanian town of Karameh on 21 March 1968, during the War of Attrition

    SITUATION:

PLO forces have taken the border town of Karameh, Jordan, as their headquarters and have stepped their attacks on Israel and Israeli-occupied territories.
The IDF desires to destroy the fedayeen camps at Karameh  and Safi and capture Yasser Arafat and punish Jordan for its perceived support of the fedayeen.

Israeli Armored Forces and Heli-borne Paratroopers are to launch a four-pronged attack on the town and eliminate the PLO fedayeen.

  21. CG08 Island Liberation Final Push v2

    Part 2 of 2

    1) SITUATION:
Following our defeat of the Rebels and their 'Volunteer' support in the West of the Island we are now ready to move forward and complete the liberation of the Island.
Enemy continue to land forces from their second wave at the port

        a) Enemy:
Having disposed of the local forces we are now faced with clearing the more capable 'Volunteer' units which continue to disembark at Port Kyrounis.
We understand that 3 companies of T72m4 of the enemy second wave have landed with accompanying infantry (estimated 3 to 4 Coy).
Much of the infantry has been widely deployed on higher ground or covering likely avenues of approach to the port although a Coy strength is possibly BMP2 mounted.
Given the size of the enemy Task Force it is likely 2 further Tank Coys have yet to be unloaded
The remaining Separatist leaders are thought to be sheltering at the Port and no special attempt to capture them should be made.
Again the enemy has limited Indirect Fire Support
Air defences are thought to be in place around the port
The situation is fluid in that as enemy forces deploy from the port area they are likely  to be spreading out and can be expected to attack from a variety of directions. Therefore
you should retain the ability to react to flank attacks
FLASH UPDATE: Current drone recon shows latest ship to arrive at Port Kyrounis as having approx Coy strength T90 on deck.

  23. CAPTURE OF SHUSHA: NAGORNO-KARABAKH WAR 1992

CAPTURE OF SHUSHA: NAGORNO-KARABAKH WAR 1992
    By Connaugh

The Nagorno-Karabakh War was an ethnic and territorial conflict that took place in the late 1980's to May 1994, in the enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh in southwestern Azerbaijan, between the majority ethnic Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh backed by the Republic of Armenia, and the Republic of Azerbaijan. As the war progressed, Armenia and Azerbaijan, both former Soviet Republics, entangled themselves in a protracted, undeclared war in the mountainous heights of Karabakh as Azerbaijan attempted to curb the secessionist movement in Nagorno-Karabakh.

    SITUATION:

Azerbaijani commanders holding out in the region's last bastion of Shusha began a large-scale artillery bombardment with GRAD rocket launchers against Stepanakert, the NKR's highly populated capital.
Armenian Forces in Nagorno-Karabakh have planned an operation to capture the town of Shusha and several other Azerbaijan-held villages in the region.

    MISSION:

The Primary Objectives are for Armenian Forces to capture Shusha and two nearby villages, Shushikend and Dasalti. Secondary objectives are Daskend, Dagdagan and Lisagor to open a corridor to Armenia. The artillery battery in Shusha is to be destroyed.

    EXECUTION:

Three Task Forces of a Tank Section and a Mech Platoon each will be sent to assault and capture each of the objectives of Daskend, Shushikend, and Dasalti.
The three task forces will then combine to assault and capture the main objective of Shusha.
Secondary Objectives of Dagdagan and Lisagor are then to be captured.

    Armenian Forces are comprised of:

    3 x T-72 Tank Sections
    2 x BMP-2 Mech Platoons
    1 x BTR-70 Mech Platoon
    2 x Mi-24V Hind Helicopters
1 Artillery Battery of 3 tubes
CSS of Repair, Medical, and Supply

Azerbaijan forces are comprised of T-72 tanks and infantry with anti-tank weapons. Artillery is expected.

Message will be generated when an objective is captured.
