Skins for the T-72 tank.

1. T-72B3 Tri-Color (4.357)

A tri color scheme for the T-72b3 based on the stock texture installed with Steel Beasts- the pattern is the same, the colors have been modified; two versions included, with and without markings.
Note: the version with markings may occasionally conflict with the decals system if the skin is placed in the RU folder. The tactical numbers in this mod may be blended with the tactical numbers which Steel Beasts automatically includes in some vehicles for the RU scheme.
However, this is random and most vehicles won't get a Steel Beasts decal as it appears the program chooses a random vehicle every so often for the decal. Furthermore, if placed in the RU 2020 mod folder, this does not
happen at all as the decal system doesn't appear to be used for the RU 2020 scheme.

Also included is the optional NSVT heavy machine gun mount painted in the same green tone. This file must be placed in the topmost season folder in the mod directory rather than in the country mod folder. The path looks like: Mods --> Textures --> Woodland.
In other words, unlike the vehicle skin, the program will ignore this file if it is placed within the particular nation folder and will only access it if placed one level higher in the seasons folder.

5. T-72M(1) USSR (4.161

T72M_M1 texture for a USSR scheme.
This skin texture is shared in common with both the T-72A and T-72A/M1 models. It will not work with T-72B or T-72M4 models.

Included is an optional texture for the commander's NSV 12.7mm heavy machine gun mount, if not used, then the default NSV file will look rather discolored from the rest of the model.
Note that this file must be placed in the top level seasonal theme in the mod directory, rather than the nation specific mod folder. Fore example:

T72M_M1 file may be placed in the default installation directory Documents -> eSim Games -> Steel Beasts -> mods -> textures -> woodland -> ussr
NSV file is placed in the directory Documents -> eSim Games -> Steel Beasts -> mods -> textures -> woodland.

Two slightly different versions are included, the first version includes additional identification stripe on the track skirt, which is removed from the second version.

11. T-72B3 (T-72M4CZ mod)

Since it has 2nd gen TIS, everyone uses the T-72M4 as OPFOR MBT.
However, the M4CZ is distinct NATO-member state modernization.
Solution? Make the M4CZ look like the recent Russian T-72B3 modernization, which is widely being used in combat in "volunteer/vacationer" armored units.

This mod does just that: since what visually differs the M4CZ from the B3 the most is the CITV on M4, Sosna-U TIS on B3 and K-5 ERA instead of DYNA-72 on B3, this was adjusted for, alongside with paintjob.

12. Czech T-72M1 in NATO-friendly U2500 camo (3.025)

Until eSim implements TURMS-T and makes T-72M4 playable, T-72M1 has to do the job for the Czech Army in SB. But in combined ops scenarios with AČR on NATO side, how do you tell if that uniform-green T-72 is friend or foe? They all look the same!

Well, let's give those Czech T-72M1s basically the same camouflage scheme as T-72M4, then. Tanks pulled out of reserves during wartime don't get anything but new paint job (and batteries) anyway...

19. Tri-Color T-72M1 Roof (2.640)

This pack contains two roof textures intended for use with Hackworth's T-72 Pack #2. Skins include one in tan, green, and black with the other in grey, black, and green. Both skins have an increased resolution of 1024x1024 and are detailed to match the exterior model where possible. Thanks go to Dejawolf for his excellent templates without which this would have been...tiring.

20. Finnish T-72M1 (2.640)

Summer and winter camo plus decals for da Finnish Army T-72M1. Turret top file included.

Finns bought the first T-72M1s from the Soviet Union in early 1980s. When the DDR went under, Finns bolstered the numbers to 120+, buying surplus equipment from the Germans. The T-72s made up the backbone of the two Armoured Brigades from 1990s to 2005 when the decision was made to dispand the Brigades and scrap the T-72 flotilla. The T-72s were last time seen in numbers during a refresher training in Helsinki in 2004.

The T-72 was loved and hated, and they bought a very special place in Finnish tankers' hearts. The old farts that worked with the tank propably say it was the best possible tank for Finnish terrain, where engagement ranges are short and small size could mean the difference between life and rather manly death by punching a hole in the clouds, still inside the cramped turret... Also the multifuel engine was excellent for the Finns, as during war time one may run out of petrol, but the T-72 would have no trouble as it could run on vodka, for example. And that's the last thing the Finns would run out of after copying paper.

Now sit inside the beast yourself and see if there is any truth in the stories and legends...
