It's sorta-kinda semi-accessible, but rotating the turret makes everything so much more convenient and faster that you'd have to come up with a very particular scenario to justify why one wouldn't want to take the turret to the six.

The Loader doesn't skip leg day today.

Remember, your manual handling, back straight, engage your core and lift with ze knees.

I think no Steel Beasts player should be surprised by any of this, it's pretty much in line with how we simulate (except that the sympathetic detonations occur as if all Leopard still had loaded 1980s ammunition).

    A change for Version 5?

Does it matter if they are still fit for purpose?

It doesn't matter at all, except for those rare moments when it matters a lot. And after them, it will never matter again. So, on average, it doesn't. Unfortunately the average is not a useful metric in cases like this.

@Grenny Correct. Its the old PBV302 turret moved to the Patria 203 when they started scrapping the PBV302. AFAIK only the air defence regiment use them, rest of the army use Patgb203 with RWS VS01.

When I was a PBV302 gunner in 03-04 they jammed and failed constantly, can't imagine how they perform 20years later. the gun is from 1947...

Our Lord and Infector, the Lord Nurgle has stuck his finger in my ear, so probably won't be up for it. That said I've been tempted to get into one of the co-op sessions recently.

Year we never upgraded the drivetrain or engine which meant that by 1980es they where pretty worn out and we stopped using them in 1999. We called them scrammelturions internally as is shown by one of the exercises i was on, i was the FO for a SQN (COY) they started out with 10 Tanks (3x3 plus CO which during the cold war was standard) by midday on the first day only the COs tank was still running all the rest where broken down.
The Danish Division in the Danish German Corps had an Anti tank BTN with 50 Centurions (84mm later 105mm) when they where mobilized and on exercise they sometimes where as low as 5-10 or less running during most of the exercise.
But don't misunderstand me all the tankers said that it was shooting better then even the Leopard 1A5 it was just they had run since 1953 until 1999 without receiving upgrades on the drivetrain or engine at all and there where no spare parts for the drive train at all i saw mechanics scavenge old tanks used as target for parts of the drive train (Tracks, shock absorbers, road wheels etc...) at that time it was decades since it had been in production so no sources for parts.

Be an interesting "What if" the Danish had bodged a Leo1 power pack into a Centurion, along with Tracks and roadwheels etc.
